Yes he will. Tonight's planted the seeds for the Raven/Punk TNA feud. Instead of it being based on Raven's history of drug abuse and Punk's entire sXe thing, it's going to be based on something a little more realistic and compelling: Raven leaving Punk behind.

 

I wasn't impressed with Oulette tonight. Then again, it was a battle royale, and everybody seemed to be at half-speed (I fucking hate battle royale's where it's over-the-top elimination only, because it seems only WWE can book them so they're entertaining), but no-selling moves that have put almost every other X-Division worker away? Bad idea. No-selling at all? Bad idea. And X no-sold nearly every move.

But his double-underhook double-leg piledriver (Package Piledriver, as Tenay called it) was very, VERY cool. Too bad I'm pretty sure I invented it 5 years ago when wrestling with a couple buddies.

Jarrett did a promo where he basically said he wanted the belt again, and that The Gathering should be set free. That left Punk and Julio yelling that Raven shouldn't break them up.

Sooo...yeah. Lazz sucks, and homophobic gay gimmicks are shit, so why did they bring him back in after he was practically boo'd out of the building the last time (vs. Mikey at the Super X tourney)? Kash/Lazz vs. The Gathering was pretty good, mostly because of Kash and Julio/Punk. Well, completely because of Kash and Julio/Punk.

 

I'm interested in seeing where this Abyss/Callis thing could go. But I saw something kinda funny...Black Shirts were trying to pull Abyss off of the Red Shirts on the outside. I know it's a minor thing, but why would they do that when the Red Shirts have injured two of their own?

 

Sandman/Douglas sucked, but that was expected. Who the fuck is that chick, and why is she the "big surprise" member of the New Franchise? A huge letdown. And the first male member better NOT be Michael Shane...

 

Overall, very solid show. Nothing too bad, not like last week's, but nothing overly impressive either. But I will say that the angles so far have been captivating and sensical.

I didn't see it, so I can't say with certainty, but that sounds just like Dynamite D's (formerly XPW) "D Driver" move.
