Guest Anglesault Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 I wouldn't call it spamming. I'd like to hear your reasoning for the comment though.
Guest Besus Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 I call it "spam" and Reason for what?
Guest Username Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 I call it "spam" and Reason for what? reason for thinking charlie haas and shelton benjamin are better than kurt angle and chris benoit.
Guest Besus Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Oh Because I think TWGTT have better matches than Angle/Beniot.I know it aint telling much.I cant really explain it really.I just been enjoying TWGTT Matches more than Angle/Beniot the past months.Whatelse can I say? Guest Ray Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 CHARLIE FUCKING HASS IS BETTER THAN CHRIS BENOIT!?!?! Oh dear...
Guest Ray Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 ^Yes he is IMO. As if saying "IMO" makes it right... How many Benoit matches have you seen?
Guest Ray Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 On what do you base your Hass > Benoit position?
Guest Megatron Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 On what do you base your Hass > Benoit position? 'Cause he said so.
Jack_Bauer Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Hey, here's an idea. Lets let someone have an opinion when they state that it's only their opinion. On the 'being right', NO opinion is right, basically because IT'S AN OPINION !

Guest Ray Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Here's an idea! Not everything is a matter of opinion. And some opinions are wrong. If I say "Kevin Nash is a great high flyer IMO!" my opinion is obviously wrong.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 God, there are some things that is just not worth arguing with TripleHat... I mean, Besus, over. This is one of them. Drop it.

If I say "Kevin Nash is a great high flyer IMO!" my opinion is obviously wrong. Problem is, no-one would have a POINT for that opinion. If someone was to say A-Train is a better wrestler than Kurt Angle I wouldn't go and say 'YOURE WRONG !' I think the perfect postition for this is Haas is better than Benoit, because Haas isn't bad, and people may like his style more than Benoits.

Guest Ray Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Problem is, no-one would have a POINT for that opinion. It's called an exaggerated analogy. Saying Hass is a better wrestler than Benoit is just as bad. If someone was to say A-Train is a better wrestler than Kurt Angle I wouldn't go and say 'YOURE WRONG !' If I wanted to debate A-Train > Angle, I wouldn't just say "IMO!" and provide NO REASONS AT ALL to back up my statement. I'd say that A-Train's offense is more believable and more logical, and he can sell better when he wants, and is just as good or better at bumping. Then I'd point out that Angle's striking moves suck, his moveset makes little sense, and he frequently forgets to sell. I wouldn't say "IMO" and leave it at that. I think the perfect postition for this is Haas is better than Benoit, because Haas isn't bad, and people may like his style more than Benoits. "Liking" his style doesn't make him a better wrestler. "IMO" is just a way of avoiding discussion.
Jack_Bauer Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Sometimes, people don't know WHY they like something better. For some reason, I like HHH v HBK 2/3 Falls. Why ? I dunno, but there was just SOMETHING that dragged me in.

Guest Ray Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Again, people fail to understand the difference between "like" and "good." *sigh*
Jack_Bauer Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Again, people fail to understand the difference between "like" and "good." *sigh* Someone that likes something is hardly gonna call it bad, and that's the point. So, if someone dislikes Benoit, do you honestly expect them to fo out and call them a great wrestler, just because most people see it as fact. Don't get me wrong, I think Benoit is awesome.
Guest Ray Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 You can dislike Karl Malone and still acknowledge that he's a great basketball player. You can like Hass more than Benoit and still acknowledge that he's a better wrestler.

You can like Hass more than Benoit and still acknowledge that he's a better wrestler. The thing is, I just don't think Benoit is that great anymore. Last year, I would have said Benoit is better, but he seems to be just getting worse.
Guest Megatron Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 If I like something, then that means that it's good to ME or vice-versa. Just because Martha Stewart says everything's "A Good Thing" doesn't make it so. That's her OPINION.
Kurt Angle Mark Posted November 13, 2003 Report Posted November 13, 2003 Update on Angle from PWtorch.com "Although the MRI results are not back yet, sources say as of today the original fears within WWE about the seriousness of the condition of Angle's neck are subsiding a bit. Angle lost feeling in his left hand last week after taking a chairshot, so his issues may be primarily due to a pinched nerve of some kind. However, Angle had been feeling pain in his neck for a while, especially after the hour long match with Brock Lesnar, so the MRI is a precautionary move to be sure that there aren't bigger issues that made him more susceptible to numbness issues which need to be addressed. MRI test results are expected this week. "

Last year, I would have said Benoit is better, but he seems to be just getting worse. When Benoit is wrestling Doink, O'Haire, Bashams, Cena, and now Nathan Jones/Matt Morgan/etc... what do you expect? Benoit's been stuck in "Toothless Agression" mid-carder hell all year. If I like something, then that means that it's good to ME or vice-versa. If you "like" a bad basketball player, does that make him "good" ? If you "like" Mark Henry more than Bret Hart, does that make Henry "better" ? OF COURSE NOT. Keep on failing to understand..
