Slayer Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Well, shit... Vikings need to start plugging those holes in the defense now What was starting look like a hell of a season is trying to take a nosedive into shitdom... These last 4 games were supposed to be the easy wins, while Seattle and KC were the big blips on the adar down the stretch... Goddammit
Kahran Ramsus Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Well this is a good day. Pack win in Tampa, and the Viqueens lose to the worst team in the league.
HarleyQuinn Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 whooo...Patriots taking on them Cowboys in a couple minutes!
Cartman Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Interesting to see how Dallas plays in the cold ass weather here tonight too... I don't care who wins as much as I care about seeing a great game here.
Guest Flyboy Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 This game is gonna be HOT, HOT, HOT. Dallas blitzing will = Terrence Newman shutting down Troy Brown.
HarleyQuinn Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 I'll say the Patriots score first however it turns into a low-scoring see saw battle of which defense can hold the opponent's offense better.
HarleyQuinn Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 This game is already tense and that's just between the coaches...damn
Kahran Ramsus Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 I would much rather watch this than Survivor Series.
KingPK Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 I really think the Cowboys are going to run more than pass tonight, especially with one of their WRs out.
Guest Flyboy Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 This game is already tense and that's just between the coaches...damn Did you see how the coaches AVOIDED each other at the beginning of the game? It's gonna be TENSE, indeed.
KingPK Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 That Nike commercial still looks awesome. Yup, the Cowboys are going to use the run to set up the pass, it seems.
Cartman Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 This game is gonna be HOT, HOT, HOT. Dallas blitzing will = Terrence Newman shutting down Troy Brown. Troy Brown has been a non-factor anyways. Galloway not playing = Passing game weakness. Not to mention Pats Blitz packages are just as good as Dallas but people never mention that.
KingPK Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Geez, can we get Adam in there to punt please?
Guest Flyboy Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Geez, can we get Adam in there to punt please? At first, I thought you were referring to me.
KingPK Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Come on Mr. Referee, get your head in the game. 82 is an OFFENSIVE number, and the Cowboys are wearing BLUE today. It's a little confusing with the new silver jerseys, so I'll give you a mulligan.
KingPK Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Man, it's a good thing that Carter is mobile, since he probably would have been eating turf about 4 or 5 times now.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Maybe I'm just biased but right now I think the Pats look like the best team in the NFL. You could say the Titans but the Pats beat them Chiefs? Maybe...but they did lose today to a team they shouldn't have Colts? I dunno...they had a hard time fighting off a shitty Jets team today
the pinjockey Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 It is impossible to predict a best team right now. It seems that the whole league is still feeling itself out. Titans - played like shit in Jax Colts - Defense and special teams were a farce Chiefs - beaten today, don't know about them yet Pats - If you twisted my arm I would probably say them right now, but the offense is inconsistent it seems. Cowboys - exposed vs. TB and NE Panthers - seem to be living on the edge too much Rams - God only knows who shows up Eagles - Inconsistent offense and special teams Every team has more that just a small chink in the armor.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Pats - If you twisted my arm I would probably say them right now, but the offense is inconsistent it seems. Our offense suffered tonight due to Troy Brown being out. He really opens up alot of things...and your offense will suffer when your top reciever is out
Guest Choken One Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Right now this would be the playoffs... Cincy (North), Pats (East), Chiefs (West), Colts (South), Titans (WC) and Denver (WC) Minnesota (North), Dallas (East), St. Louis (West), Carolina (South), Philly (WC) and Green Bay (WC)
the pinjockey Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Wouldn't Seattle be in instead of GB? I don't know if they have the division over St.L though.
Guest Choken One Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Yes, You are right. Put St. Louis in Green Bay's Slot and Seattle in St. Louis Slot. Besides, Green Bay will take the NFC North anyways.
KingPK Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Heh, good line in Belichick's postgame press confrence (paraphrased): "Now it's on to Houston. You know, they went in and beat Buffalo in Buffalo, something that WE can't say." Dallas' offense has been exposed as not all that great and I don't think they'll blitz as much anymore. Their D is pretty good, though.
NoCalMike Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 NOT A TD...........NOT A TD.........NOT A TD..........NOT A FUCKING TD!!! ARRGGGHHH~! Also, if you see the replay on NFL Primetime, watch as Davis attempts to grip the ball and he loses control ever so slightly before the Bowen pop, so Davis didn't have control of the ball, even before the questionable fumble. I understand LIVE how this gets called a TD, but on the replay it is fucking obvious. Even a few Carolina fans figured it was NOT a TD. UGH. Why?
Tony149 Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Dallas' offense was never great they just had a few games were they gained a bunch of yards and somehow gave the impression the offense was good. The Cowboys D has been their strong point thus far, they've kept them in all their games, and prevented a blow out in Tampa -- and Sunday night for that matter. They got burned a few times, which turned out to cost them, but that's expected when you blitz like they do. I see them going for a running back in the off-season, Hambrick isn't cutting it (nobody wanted to take him when Dallas tried to trade him) but he'll have to do for now. Hell, they need a verteran QB too, either as a starter or in case Carter struggles.
NoCalMike Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Cowboys have a great D, which is only gonna get better once Newman gets a year under his belt. Dallas has an ALL OR NOTHING offense. Either they get a 20+ yd play or they can't do a damn thing. I still don't buy Quincy as a quality starter and think Parcells will look for someone next season either in the draft or FA.
