Didn't see one, so decided to start it myself.

Box Office Top 10:

1. Elf - $27,236,000/$71,265,000

2. Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World - $25,725,000/$25,725,000

3. Matrix: Revolutions - $16,320,000/$114,174,000

4. Brother Bear - $12,000,000/$63,019,000

5. Looney Tunes: Back in Action - $9,510,000/$9,510,000

6. Love Actually - $8,880,000/$18,861,700

7. Scary Movie 3 - $6,105,000/$102,339,008

8. Radio - $5,000,000/$43,708,000

9. Tupac: Resurrection - $4,660,000/$4,660,000

Only a 12.5% drop for Elf? Impressive.

Elf is rocking. Radio only at 43 mil total? Eep. That's a bomb.

Matrix:Rev isn't holding up at all.

When a movie sucks, that can happen.

Pheh. You'd think a bunch of the dumbass fanboys would see it 20 times a day, though.

When it comes down to it, word of mouth is what helps a movie the most. Matrix has bad word of mouth, so it isn't doing well.

When Return of the King comes out, it will put anything to shame.

The LOTR movies don't have a summer movie vibe to them though. Perhaps it's due to it being a somber series for the most part, it's not really quite fitting for summer. It fits in later in the year, going to see it while you freeze your ass off in the winter, that kind of thing.

Why would Harry Potter 3 have a huge buzz surrounding it? With the HP series I'm expecting the law of diminishing returns, perhaps not in terms of quality but in terms of box office.

Now, given the news of the past week or so regarding Saruman I dunno if ROTK is really as surefire as we've been led to believe. As much as I'm wanting to love the movie, I already see some pretty glaring problems:

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

1. How exactly can they explain Saruman vanishing? Will they just say "Oh he's dead?"

2. If you don't have Saruman then it basically adds up to people now being forced to care about Sauron, which no one really does.

I mean, Christopher Lee has had to carry the whole heel side of things in the first two movies. Viewers think Saruman = main heel.

6. Love Actually - $8,880,000/$8,880,000

Are you sure about this numbers? I remember the movie being released last week (limited) and making a huge $6 million-plus opening, so that total doesn't make sense.

Even if it did, it is a sure bomb.

What makes you say that it is a sure bomb? Don't give me that "Paul Walker is in it" crap.

Whoever said "Radio" bombed, no it didn't. It wasn't a big hit, but it wasn't a bomb either. It was a mid-sized hit.

Pochorenella, Love Actually Total: $18,861,700

Did Timeline get released yet?

Even if it did, it is a sure bomb.

No way! With the great Paul Walker acting, this is a sure hit....
