Guest MikeSC Report post Posted November 17, 2003 9) Goldberg couldn't sell death. RVD sells better. I loved his whole "my ankle has been shattered and REALLY hurts --- well, except when I press slam a guy into a powerslam or hop around after a Spear." You're an idiot, he was selling it the whole fucking match. What do you expect him to do? WATCH the match again. Watch the opening. Hits the Spear and what does he do? Immediately jump around --- THEN limp. Press slam into a power slam. No problem --- THEN limp. The ending --- LIMP, LIMP --- Spear (with the hopping around again) followed by a long Jackhammer. Selling sporadically --- which is what he did --- is as bad as no-selling. -=Mike I still need to see SurSer, but, after reading your point, now, please check, if you have, No Mercy 2002, RVD vs Flair. Flair works the leg of RVD and mr PPV totally forgets that, and remember that Flair is more known for working the leg, look at that match, RVd didnt care for Flair's leg work, and even jump to the ropes to celebrate at the end. And im not tellin Goldberg rules, probaly sunday (after I watched SurSer) Ill be back and tell you if I agree or disagree. Rob is horrible at selling. His match with Benoit at SSlam is more noticeable about that problem of his. People ignore the small things. Goldberg limps to the ring. He walks real hesitantly. THEN he nails a Spear and jumps around. No pain at all. Press slam into a power slam. No pain. Then he begins selling again. And the end. Limping a lot. Suddenly, SPEAR --- the same jumping around --- and no pain whatsoever. Jackhammer with no problem. After the match, limping again. -=Mike ...He also kicked with his bad leg early, but I'll not get into nitpicking about his poor selling.
Aero 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2003 - Team Angle vs. Team Lesnar I'm not that big of a Holly fan at all, but I was pissed that he went out in less than 20 seconds... the bell hadn't even rung yet. Bradshaw, A-Train, Jones, & Morgan involvement were all kept to a minimum, so I was pleased. The rest of the action was enjoyable enough for me, and Brock tapping to the Crossface was great. *** - Molly vs. Lita Not a bad womens match, at all. I thought it was over for Molly after Lita kicked out of the Molly-Go-Round, so I was surprised she won. ** - Kane vs. Shane Not as bad as everyone else thinks, IMO. Although, Shane got way too much offense in. And Kane just hit one Tombstone on the concrete to finish. A little anti-climatic.. why not 2 or 3 Tombstones? The cameras backstage were very annoying. *1/2 - Bashams vs. Los Guerreros I wasn't paying much attention to this match, except for the finish. It looked decent. ** - Team Austin vs. Team Bischoff MOTN, easily. I was really into the match once it came down to HBK vs. 3 guys. I don't hate Orton nearly as much as most people on this board, but Jericho definitely should have been the one to get the win over HBK. I was rooting for Jericho all match, but when it came down to HBK & Orton, I was cheering HBK on. The post-match Austin-HBK thing was cool, too. **** - Undertaker vs. Vince Total squash, and it was alright. Still better than Taker-Austin, IMO. *1/2 - Goldberg vs. HHH The beginning sucked and was boring as hell. The ending got better when Goldberg started taking out Evolution. *3/4 I really enjoyed the PPV, especially the Raw 5-on-5. On a scale of 1-5... I give it a 4. clean rob 0 Report post Posted November 17, 2003 Tajiri vs. Noble: **1/2. I was really enjoying this match, but it was WAAAY too short. Noble's blocking of the mist then baiting Tajiri was cool. Team Angle vs Team Lesnar: **3\4. The superfast eliminations were a little too fast for me but they did well concealing the hoss team weaknesses and Angle's injury. The last minute was like a constant markout what with Benoit's Crossface and Cena's FU. Needed another ten minutes, just like the last match. Molly vs. Lita: *1/2. Not as bad as I was expecting, as Lita wasn't too sloppy. And I always mark out for the Molly-Go-Round. Kane vs. Shane: 1/4*. I was expecting bad, and this was worse. Anti-climactic, inferior and less brutal than their last encounter, stupid backstage bit...and the 'chair shots' using the steps...just awful. Can't believe some people thought this was OK. Bashams vs. Guerreros: **. Solid match, continues to build up the Bashams and the Guerreros tension, so served a good purpose... hopefully they aren't going to drag this on too much longer though. Team Austin vs. Team Bishoff: ***3\4. Like has been said by virtually everybody, MOTN by yards. The eliminations were unpredictable yet sensible, the crowd was hot and the balance of workrate and drama was just right. Virtually everyone came out looking good, and HBKs blading was the icing on the cake. Vince vs. Taker: 3\4*. Considerably worse than I was expecting. Good booking I suppose with Taker dominating, but he got punked out by Kane far too easily at the end. Surprising that there seemed to be much less heat than Vince's match last month. GB vs. HHH: *1\4. Pretty much what I was expecting. At least Goldberg is selling reasonably well these days, and the last 2 minutes were fun. Overall: I only really enjoyed the Survivor series matches, but not a bad show. Could have been really good with a reshuffling of match lengths. 2.5\5 for the show as a whole.
