X3 news, Wolverine Spin-Off, X2 Gag-Reel Online

Recommended Posts

The Chicago Sun-Times talked with producer Lauren Shuler Donner about another X-Men movie.

While we have Donner on the hot seat, two things come to mind. First, what about another "X- Men" movie? She reveals, "Oh, there will definitely be 'X 3' We're looking for a great story. We're lucky with this series because there is 40 years of great stories in the comics." She also is encouraged by the fact that despite originally saying she was "X'd" out, Halle Berry is reconsidering resuming her role as Storm. "I hope Halle comes back," Donner says. "We just have to give her something great to do." As for a release date, she says, "That same nice May date in 2005 sounds good to me."

The Sydney Morning Herald talked to Lauren Shuler Donner about the X-Men franchise and she has some very good news for the fans.

According to the producer, they are developing X-Men 3 and plan to follow it up with a Wolverine spin-off movie, with Jackman starring in both.

"The ideal thing will be to do Wolverine after X-Men 3 and that's what we plan to do," Shuler Donner said. "We'll probably develop Wolverine at the same time, but we'll do X-3 then we'll do Wolverine."

-----

About.com caught up with X-Men series director Bryan Singer and Marvel Studios' Avi Arad and asked about X-Men 3, the Wolverine spin-off, The Punisher, Blade: Trinity, Spider-Man 2 and Fantastic Four. Here's a snippit from the article...

Arad said, "Well, if she told you we are prepping, we must be prepping." A flabbergasted Singer said, "Uh, great! Awesome. I don't think I can talk about it, but I'd like to [make X3] very much, so we'll see if we can work it out."

Stories reported that not only is Shuler-Donner planning X3, but a separate Wolverine film. Singer's response to that was, "I don't know. I think an X-men film is simultaneously a Wolverine film, so in my opinion that's something that might happen afterwards, but ultimately I can't even talk about it." Arad added, "I think that both concepts are valid and both will be made."

If they do end up recasting Storm that will suck. Studios should now always do what the people behind the Spiderman movies did...lock up their young stars for numerous films. Tobie and Kirsten are locked up for another 3 movies at a set price already.

No, they will make a movie that focuses more on Storm and it will suck. I mean she's a good character and all, but if they are trying to give her what she wants in order to get her back it'll bite them in the ass.

I would much rather the recast.

Well I believe Gambit will be in the next film just due to complaints from everybody...although he wasn't around for the real Pheonix Saga if I remember correctly, and that should be the next movie's focus

People have been wanting Gambit in the movies for a long time now so they hafto include him in X3. I actually remember seeing petitions to get Lash Leroux to play the part in X2.

In fact I remember reading that in X2 they did have a small cameo by Gambit, non speaking role like for Kitty in the first one but, that was by an extra and they didn't want him looking different in X2 and X3 so they cut the part.

Any X-Men movie that does not contain Gambit sucks by definition.

Oh, well thank god the comics had SOMEHOW survived 30+ years before the saviour Gambit was introduced...

Holy over-rated...

Gambit = THE most overrated X-Men character of all time.

Yes, even more so than Wolverine.

I'll be sorely disappointed if he's given anything more than a cameo in the new flick.

BTW......why can't they just replace Berry? It's not as if Storm is such an integral role in the franchise (she wasn't really in either of the two previous films) that the part can't be played by another actress.

Ok, so how do you register? I can't read German, and this site layout is confusing as hell.

Ja, it totally was. The only words I could understand were 'ja' and 'nein'. I'm sooo pathetic like that ^_^

You click on the 'Outtakes' under the 'XDownloads' section, then click 'connect to DOWNLOADSERVER' [it's in english, which is good]. A window will pop up, asking you for your name/password. If ya don't have one, then just type anything. It'll be wrong, obviously, once you submit it, and you'll be taken to the registration screen. It's pretty basic beyond that.
