alfdogg Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 The NBA is now officially realigning to six divisions. Here they are, from NBA.com: East Atlantic Boston New Jersey New York Philadelphia Toronto Central Chicago Cleveland Detroit Indiana Milwaukee Southeast Atlanta Charlotte Miami Orlando Washington West Southwest Dallas Houston Memphis New Orleans San Antonio Northwest Denver Minnesota Portland Seattle Utah Pacific Golden State LA Clippers LA Lakers Phoenix Sacramento Now then, back to the original question: Since the conferences are so admittedly lopsided, do you think that with these realignments that the NBA should do like NFL and MLB and give out their awards to players in each conference?
MrRant Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 The Northwest Division is going to suck. Motherfuckers. Goddamn MOTHERFUCKERS. FUCK.
alfdogg Posted November 18, 2003 Author Report Posted November 18, 2003 Suck as in bad for the Sonics?
MrRant Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 Suck as in it's a sucktastic division.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 I don't think the NBA should divide the awards. Dividing them would only give a weaker player an award that they don't deserve. An Eastern conference player is fully capable of winning an award if he deserves it.
Matt Young Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 I'm not sure about the awards thing, but as far as the realignment goes, I like it, although the divisions do seem really weird. The main reason I approve is because my favorite teams, the Bulls and T-Wolves, both have good shots- The Bulls should get 3rd place next year, and Minnesota should easily win their division. But damn... That Southwest division will be tough as fuck with 4 playoff caliber teams in there. Conversely, all the teams in the Southeast division suck balls except for the Magic.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 As far as the divisions go, I don't see the point. Just split it into two leagues, and take the top 8 teams edit: from each league. I don't think any casual fan really notices the division winners as it is nowadays.
Vern Gagne Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 I'm not sure about the awards thing, but as far as the realignment goes, I like it, although the divisions do Conversely, all the teams in the Southeast division suck balls except for the Magic. The Magic sucks balls worse than any team this year.

They were a playoff team last year.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 Let’s see how accurate Rob E Dangerously was: NORTHEAST: Boston, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, Toronto SOUTHEAST: Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Orlando, Washington MIDEAST: Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, Indiana, Milwaukee MIDWEST: Dallas, Houston, Memphis, Minnesota, New Orleans SOUTHWEST: Denver, Phoenix, Sacramento, San Antonio, Utah PACIFIC: Golden State, Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Portland, Seattle Great call on the East -- Not too bad for the West. Should just call the Pacific the California Division...
