anyone here know what the deal is with American Dragon?

i just thought it was weird that he was on Velocity...do you guys know if he has any plans to sign with the WWE?

that would be awesome...

i was dissapointed with that velocity match though, it lasted like 2 seconds. Dragon looked good in the ring for the .5 seconds he was in there.

john walters didn't do a thing either...he looks iffy...speaking of which, did anyone post that john walters match up yet?

Keep in mind that match was said to be cut from 6 mins down to 3 mins.

But yeah American Dragon has looked very good in all of this WWE TV appearances.

I hope they don't sign him though, I enjoy his Indy work too much.

Here is some news that'll probably piss everyone off.

Bryan Danielson, better known as independent wrestler American Dragon, had a dark match try out at RAW in Boston. They announced him as being from Boston to get a babyface reaction for him as he faced Arch Kincaid. The crowd turned on him after he started to use too many technical holds, and didn’t really do anything big.

Stupid ass WWE fans.

Username, could you explain to me how American Dragon in WWE would "be awesome?"

Would it be awesome like Ultimo Dragon, Paul London & Spanky? Awesome like the Invasion angle?

Indy guys work Velocity and Heat all the time; Dragon has been on multiple times before. There's nothing weird about it.

WWE apparently did show some interest during his last round of appearances previous to the Dragon/Walters v. Spanky/London match. The story came out that the WWE encouraged him to get a tan and haircut -- "Shave those sideburns, Mattingly!" -- and then there may be a spot. But who knows how much truth there was to that.

I would doubt the WWF would want him.

His offense isn't flashy enough for a WWF crowd and he's a lot stiffer than the WWF wants.

WWE had him, and Spanky a long time ago when they signed a group of kids from HBK's school. All of them were cut from the development program except one...

Lance "Garrison" Cade. Which should show you what the WWE is looking for. It doesn't matter if you're pasty and have a horrible haircut, as long as you're TALL.

That would be awesome. Could you imagine the great matches we would see week in and week out on Velocity?

American Dragon does not belong in WWE, and I would be incredibly pissed off if he was signed. American Dragon > WWE

"Oh gee golly sir, this is just an honour to be in the ring with you"

"Oook."

"Ok, so how about I hit you with an elbow and you hit me with a chop"

"uh, you sure"

"Yeah, I've been waiting for this my whole life"

*elbow*

*Benoit smirks*

*chop*

"OOOOOOOOW! Jeeezuz!

There's no way I'd ever want to be on the receiving end of a chop from Flair, Benoit, Jericho or Angle. You'd have to be fucking crazy

If you don't want to take a chop from Flair or Benoit, then you aren't a real wrestling fan.

In a perfect world, The WWE could book him against guys like Benoit, London, Ultimo, Spanky, Rey, Eddy, Tajiri ETC. in solid 15-20 minute matches every week.. He'd get over and have a solid uppercard slot in no time.

But in reality, Brock would squash him in his debut match and he'd be sent to B-Show hell where he would job to Bombastic Bob Holly, Zach Gowen, Orlando Jordan, Palumbo and others in 3 minutes matches week after week (and if he had a good match they'd edit it down because he was making HHH look bad or they needed more time to promote McMahon Vs. McMahon Phase 429)

So I think he's better off where he is now...

Be a man, and take the chop.

*if given the choice would gladly take a Benoit chop over the opportunity to have any women I ever wanted*

Chops sting like anything. I'd only imagine what a chop with Benoit's acceleration would feel like.

Isn't Arch Kincaid a local guy too? (I think he lives in Arlington) ... it's weird that they'd announce a guy as being from Boston to get him a face reaction, when they just as easily could have announced the guy from Boston as being from here. (and yes, I understand that BD was supposed to be the face in the match, so needed to make him more "likable" ... it just seems odd to announce a guy as being local when his opponent actually IS local)
