Super News About TNA

I think Jarrett is a bland but very solid worker. He's not going to break spectacular moves during a match but he's not going to really mess anything up either.

Yeah, that's what I've meant. I've read several wrestlers talking about the difference between the fan's idea of a good worker and a wrestler's and how Jarrett is high on the wrestler's list because he works a smart style, leads in the ring and no one gets hurt wrestling him.

There are plenty of other people who aren't welcome in the WWE, big whoop. Shane Douglas wouldn't be brought back to the WWE if everyone but Henry and Jones died and they needed new faces. So by that token, Shane Douglas is someone you like, who has burned his bridges with the WWE, yet you still cheer him. What's the difference in the case of JJ?

Douglas, for all his faults, didn't try and screw Vince out of money because he had to job to a girl.

Who do you think took the brunt of the paycut when TNA was fighting for it's life last summer?

Scott Hall, X-Pac, Jerry Lynn, D-Lo Brown and everyone else theyve gotten rid of and replaced with people cheaper (I can only assume they are paying guys like Kevin Northcutt next to nothing

No, I have not read Austin's book. I don't think using a guy who walks out before a live show because he's unhappy with how he's being booked and refuses to do jobs to new guys is the best "witness" to use to prove that Jarrett is selfish, doesn't love the business and doesn't do jobs.

Thats in the past - Austin apologised, and everyone got over it.

Jarrett didn't hold them up for money to drop the title.

His contract had ended so he could do whatever the hell he wanted to.

Blame Vince and JR for being careless

Hall and X-Pac were expendable because they were problems anyways. Lynn admittedly is in negotiations due to them wanting to cut his pay, but D Lo isn't a victim of cutbacks, he's on an All Japan tour.

Bob-I'm not 100% certain, but I've heard reports that Jarrett's contract was due a day or two before the PPV, and he said that he wasn't going to show unless he got money for it. I do blame Vince and JR for being careless, but JJ did try to score some money out of it as well.

Exactly. Jarrett COULD have gone to WCW with the title and thrown it in the trash. He had enough respect to accept a 1 day deal to get hit in the face with a pie and job to a girl on the way out.

You guys are a little off with your facts. His contract did expire the day before his ppv. He was owed a good chunk of money (I believe over $100,000) in ppv bonuses. Guys don't get their ppv bonuses for some time. He wouldn't work the show unless he got all the bonus money he was owed, as I don't think he really trusted Vince to get him the money after he left for WCW. I don't think there was anything wrong with that at all. Now, I have no idea if he held them up for more money just for working that one date (in essence, the one day contract). I do know though he definately wanted that past ppv bonus money owed to him.

In fairness, because I don't watch the stuff, I don't care what he's like in the ring, its his out of ring decisions that bother me

So You constantly BITCH about a promotion you admit to not watch??

Of course he doesn't watch it, or else maybe some of his Jarrett hate would make a lick of sense and be based in reality...

I was looking for a reason to pull out "owned". Thats basically the only reason I quoted that.
