Max Payne 2:Fall of Max Payne

Recommended Posts

I am looking foward to this game but I am a bit confused. I thought that awhile back Sony said that they wouldnt have any nudity on their console(Therefore editing BMX XXX) but I was looking at EB Games and it says that Max Payne 2 has nudity. For those who habe played the PC version does it have nudity? And is it worth 50 bucks? I might get it this weekend but I know that it really isn't that long(Reviews for it have been good for Xbox so far)Please respond with any comments at all.

Thanks.

I checked the ESRB site and it says Max Payne 2 is rated for Blood, Intense Violence, Mature Sexual Themes, and Strong Language. The only games that it has listed with nudity are the GC and Xbox versions of BMX XXX and DOA Volleyball which I heard didnt really have any. I guess it was a mistake on EBs part. I'll be getting it for Xbox some time soon, did it come out already?

No full on blatant nudity, only a couple of close calls.

I loved the game. It's about the same length as the original I'd guestimate so if you've played the first game then you know what you're getting into. The real fun in the game is the absolute kick ass physics engine. You'll get several genuine grins as bodies, barrels, boxes and anything else that starts with a B fly around the scenery when the bullets start flying.

Why are people bitching about it being short? At IGN they bitch because it took 12 hours. That is short? 12 hours is fine for an action game! It's like since the PSX era the press are obsessed with every game being RPG length. What action games are actually that long? It seems like every one gets "too short~!" complaints.

Too bad someone forgot to throw actual gameplay onto that list

I can beat contra in 14 minutes...yet I still play it to this day.

Length of a game has never determined its greatness or crappiness. Its all about the gameplay.

And I'm sure you defend the "Size/length doesn't matter" argument in other aspects of your life, too...

Rented it and beat it over the weekend. If you liked the first, then as everyone has said, you will like the second.I personally loved the game, although it is on the short side. I beat it over the weekend in maybe 6 hours but I am going to replay it for the alternate ending. I highly reccomend buying it, as the gameplay is awesome, and fitting to the series.

Have you seen the video of Super Mario 3 being beaten in under 11 minutes? I needed an ice pack for my chin after my jaw dropped to the floor.

Because they prefer 40 hour RPGs.

Not even RPGs are immune from this form of bitching anymore, these days. It's a game reviewer's easiest crux- don't want to give a game too high a score? Say it's too short and WATCH THE POINTS DROP AWAY~!!!

IGN's reviews are trash anyway, though. I trust my fellow gamer reviews at GameFAQs or IGN's Reader Reviewers more than IGN's biased reviewers nowadays, and THAT'S saying something considering how inaccurate and crappy those two types of reviewers can be sometimes.

But hey, at least they don't completley change their position on a game to give it a low score to attract tons of hits from angry fanboys.

Now c'mon guys... it took TWO DAYS to finish. TWO FUCKING DAYS. Quite simply, that's not worth the price of purchase.

Breetai's completely right.

The game is really, really fucking good, but its just too damned short to warrant a purchase. There's just not much re-playability unless you wanted to do it on every difficulty setting. The survival mode is fun for about 5 minutes.

With that said.....you should rent it. Definitely. The storyline is awesome, gameplay rules, and the ending rules, especially the song they use in the background. I've so graciously put it up on my webspace for all to download, since I love it so...

I remember playing games that couldn't be saved, they should return to that.

Wouldn't fly in today's day and age....

Could you imagine playing shit like Splinter Cell or Manhunt without saves?

Not for long. I TOTALLY dissagree abnout the no-save games. I wouldn't pay $50 for a game that would only take 2 hours to beat. And I wouldnt buy a game that would take over 3 hours to beat that couldn't be saved. Anyway, just my two pennies.

I'd say there is a happy medium, namely where you are given a limited number of saves (ex: Resident Evil, Hitman 2) and you have to strategize where and when to save
