Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 ...because, even though I've been a fan for a long time, I can't figure out the answer to that question. -Patrick
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted November 26, 2003 The fact that it's so fucked up is why I've stopped being a fan, actually. I got sick of the fact that, on average, about 5 000 000 000 000 freakin' wrestlers die per year and the rest are drug-addicted whores. I mean, geez. It's not even that entertaining; certainly not entertaining enough to justify how scummy it is, anyway.
Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 For me, it's almost like a drug addiction...I know I'd be far better off if I walked away from wrestling and never looked back, yet I keep watching. Do they have twelve-step programs for wrestling fans? -Patrick
Guest ligerbomb03 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 I really hope they do have a 12-step program, because no matter how much I hate it, I continue to watch.

Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 Gee, I'm sorry that wrestling is so fucked up...that's obviously my fault. Lord kows everything else is. Seriously, what's the appeal? The talented guys get screwed over time and time again, the fuckhead promoters push the biggest loads to ever taint a wrestling ring with their presence...and yet people keep on watching? At least I can claim insanity on my part...what's your excuse? -Patrick
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 The rewards of pro wrestling (great matches, promos, angles, etc.) > the fucked up ness of wrestling. I watch because I enjoy it for whatever reason. When fucked up things happen to guys because of things like drugs, taking ridiculous bumps, etc., it makes me appreciate guys like Lance Storm all the more for being able to survive in such a fucked up business and still be talented. razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 Because in a indy show I have seen Don Juan vs Fast Eddie do suicidal topes in front of a crowd of 200. Konnan was the main event of said show.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 Because I have an optimistic opinion of all wrestling shows, and don't go into each show every week already casting my negative opinions about it.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 Konnan vs Mike Foxx was an entertaining match, but you have to feel sorry for the heel who had the crowd cuss at him in espanol.
Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 If it wasn't for indy wrestling, I'd have given up on wrestling completely a long time ago, believe me...here in the Midwest, Gateway Championship Wrestling is the way to go(IMO). Some of their wrestlers have worked NWA-TNA, Wildside, and a few other feds... WWE wore out its confidence with me a long time ago, and nowadays I pretty much expect the worst out of them. -Patrick
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 Because I am not personally associated with it and I don't actually know the wrestlers. This creates a distance, indirectness, and a sort of insensitivity to whatever "bad" things happen. *shrugs*

The Dames 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2003 Why am I a fan of professional wrestling? It's rather simple for me. When everything comes together perfectly, the work in the ring, the story being told, the angle's progression...there is nothing better. It's art. Guest X-X-X Report post Posted December 1, 2003 You have to be more specific of what you're asking. If by business, you mean the WWE, then I don't watch it anymore. I read the spoilers, and if something sounds interesting I might try and catch it. Otherwise, I'm quite happy to read someone else telling me how crap it was and saving me two hours. As for wrestling on the whole, there are good standards of wrestling out there. Unfortunately, I can only view them through videotapes. Until this wrestling channel kicks up, anyway.
