OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Something tells me Steamboat/Flair WM 20 is all the drug Ricky would need to get his back to cooperate for a short match. The hot crowd, the legends. The thoughts going through their minds that like Flair-Savage WM 3 they could steal the show, even at their age.
Guest Besus Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Since its the 20th WM Im sure you can CUT the old people some fricken Slack already... whaaaaa all these old people are taking up my valuable A-train and Jones watching time..they are the up in coming stars after all...oh and they are hosses. I wonder if TWGTT will be kept off the show because of a Flair/Boat match. *sighs*
Guest Coffey Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Who would The Rock even consider "special" right now? He already had (a) match(es) with Steve Austin, Goldberg, Hulk Hogan, Triple H, Kurt Angle, etc. Who is left, especially that he would consider "special?" Does he want fucking Foley? Or is he looking to put someone like Benoit, Guerrero, Van Dam or Cena over? What the fuck....
Guest Besus Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Who is left, especially that he would consider "special?" Shawn Michaels.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 I would love Rock v. HBK just because Rock would DESTROY HBK on the mic and make him look like such a bitch. Rock-Cena or Rock-Benoit is where it's at
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 The Rock has made it known that he will only return for something "special." If he isn't willing to return for friggin' WM20, regardless of whether his opponent is a regular or "special" player in the business, then he obviously has lost his loyalty to it. He should job to a young guy and leave, and McMahon has every right to hang the "The Rock" moniker over his head on this one. How fucking stupid.

He bought the rights to 'The Rock' name off Vince a while ago... a few million I believe.

I believe the deal is that Dwayne Johnson owns the rights to the name "The Rock" but Vince McMahon get an Executive Producer credit in everyone of his movies from now until he dies. First I heard that he did, then I heard that story was false and he hadn't. All I know is that The Rundown has the Vince credit in it.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted December 1, 2003 I forgot about Shawn Michaels. That probably would be a helluva fued too. Both men are good - great on the mic and both men are good - great in the ring. Hmm....
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Why do I get the feeling they asked Rock to come back for Randy Orton and he about laughed his ass off? HBK vs Rock would have been good if Shawn would quit being so bloody religious and loosen up. Damn Jericho is just as religious if I remember right and you don't see him falling to his knees every 10 seconds to thank whatever. Cena vs Rock would be an interesting mic battle but I don't know if Cena is ready for ROCK.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted December 1, 2003 Cena vs. Rock would be off the pages. Cena is best character in the WWE right now but the Rock would blow.him.away.
syxx2001 0 Report post Posted December 2, 2003 For the people asking for 5 hours of pure wrestling, I suggest you take a look at the ratings for the Iron Man Smackdown.

Guest Goodear Report post Posted December 2, 2003 Well of course he's lost his 'loyalty' to wrestling... he's not wrestling full time anymore now is he? Rock's an actor that used to be a wrestler, he's under no more obligation to show up and promote one of their events any more than Heather Locklear is to take part in a TJ Hooker reunion.
