For People Who Uses KaZaA Lite

Recommended Posts

Guest Jimbo

I haven't got that, but it has become amazingly hard to download songs, period.

I suppose that if the music companies can't keep people from downloading m3's, their going to make it hard as hell to find good ones...

I've found that problem too. Even when I get a wide selection of songs from a search, it feels like they transfer at .000005 kb/s

Though if they are going to take control, I'd rather have them cut the songs off from the source rather than let us d/l everything and then track us down to sue us

I can only give a few tips for finding untampered versions of songs.

- Look for info that says something like "RiPpEd by KIZZAZZER" or whatever. Any mp3 that has a source is good (i.e. "hotmp3s.com").

- Mp3's with some capitalization are usually good. Ones without any capital letters are often screwed up.

- Look at filesize. Unless what you're looking for is a short song, anything low (like 1500 or below) is bad.

- Also, check out the quality. 128 is normal, 192 is great, but it sometimes leads to the tampered songs. Anything below 128 is bad.

- Look at filenames. If it looks like "track 06 - britney spears - bizatch", it's a fake (usually). If it's like "Britney Spears - Bizatch", it's real (usually).

- I guess beyond those, don't trust info that says "no beeps" or "the real thing!!!!". It doesn't really change much as the info of the files that really have the beeps or whatever are often the ones that say that.

This comes from my experience downloading music.

Hmmm...

my Kazaa-Lite is running well, I get great connections at about 30+ kb/ps for a song, and videos I can get anywhere from a 15-110 kb/ps.

As for my experience with songs, search by the artist and get the one that has the biggest filesize. even if it's "track06infiltratedestroyrebuild-sporadicmovement.mp3" it still works for me fine.

use winamp to play mp3 files.

much better quality than any other player and it is free.

I recommend getting winamp 2 instead of version 3. Version 3 wasn't

as great as expected and the developers have given up on it.

Also, make sure you download the DFX plugin for even better audio quality.

Try this version of Kazaa Lite. Not only does it omit any song coming from the RIAA's port; it also enables you to constantly have a Participation Level of K-Lite Master. Oh, and no ads either. Did I mention it's free? BONUS! :headbang:

http://www.kazaalite.tk/ is working for me and it is the

free one. There are all kinds of versions of kazaa lite floating around out there. There isn't

really an official Kazaa Lite because the owners of the regular Kazaa never gave permission

for a modified version to be released by anybody. So you get all these people setting up their

own Kazaa Lite sites and taking over domains of older sites trying to scam people out of money.

I've read stories that say that some of the versions of Kazaa Lite floating around out there

have spyware and viruses on them.

http://www.zeropaid.com/ is the site you want to keep bookmarked. It is a great file sharing information site and by going there you can keep up to date

on what is the best link for Kazaa Lite and other programs.
