razazteca 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Remember folks--Foley is a big, fat manwhore. Just keep that in mind and maybe he won't be as annoying. Foley may be Linda McMahon's bitch but just like Dusty Rhodes he will be over no matter what.
Guest JMA Report post Posted December 3, 2003 I used to get very pissed off an angles such as this. Then I realized it's Vince and the WWE, and they're never going to change. It's best to just let things like this go.

Yeah, but I shake my head and scoff when people try to say that Mick should be hired to write for WWE or book. Mick is really into S-E, he loved Russo's booking, and it's obvious he's not going to criticize Vince, just take his paycheck and shut up. He'd just be another yes-man, tow the company line, but he might come up with a few interesting new ideas.

1234-5678 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 And like 80% you are probably American, and piss and moan whenever anyone critiscises your country, or god forbid, refuse to bow down to the stars and stripes. No, not really. I listen to valid opinions. Yours however, isn't, it's just pointless pissing and moaning.
Just John 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 This wasn't near as bad as "The Great Debate." That was nothing short of propaganda. Besides, Foley said at the end of the show that he didn't really plan on firing them, so it's not a big deal.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 Need I remind people that it's only Pro. Wrestling? Some of you need to just calm down, take a deep breath, and realize that what happens in WWE isn't a matter of life or death to us fans. Especially over something so fucking trivial as what the initial post in this thread is talking about.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2003 So...... Foley fires them for not knowing the pledge Foley tells Bisch they aren't really fired, he was just being an ass like Bischoff has been doing. So putting those statements together, Foley thinks that firing someone for not knowing the anthem is retarded. And that equals ""FUCK TEH WEE AND THEIR RACISM" how exactly? Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2003 Just remember, it isn't as bad as the days when just about all of the black wrestlers had to dress up like savages or something. But yes, this as a stupid angle that came about from the Iraq situation. Mark my words, though, we'll be seeing Iron Sheik again before long...

Guest JMA Report post Posted December 6, 2003 I sometimes wonder if the French would cheer or boo La Resistance. Too bad the WWE doesn't have the testicular fortitude to find out.

Highland 0 Report post Posted December 6, 2003 I sometimes wonder if the French would cheer or boo La Resistance. Too bad the WWE doesn't have the testicular fortitude to find out. They would get cheered for their anti-American stance, but would get booed the moment they spoke, since La Resistance are French Canadian, and Quebecois french is very different from the French spoken in France, it's not just a difference in accents it's like they speak different languages. I spoke with someone from France and she expressed disdain for the Quebec style of French; I don't know if she was in the majority, but she might just be.
