There aren't even "good" matches on Raw.

From 1wrestling

 

I attended the RAW House show here in Billings Montana last night. The arena holds almost 11,000 people, and there was probably less than 3,500 people total. The house show was alright, but in my opinion showcased why WWE is falling from grace. Here are some highlights.

 

-Show started off with Bischoff coming to the ring. He announces a tag team match between The Dudley's, and Jindrak and Cade. It will be an "anything goes" match. Great match. Lots of good wrestling. Dudley's win. The Crowd was HOT for the Dudley's.

 

-Next match should have not even existed. They had Johnny Heidenreich vs. some jobber. HORRIBLE match. Johnny missed a lot of times, and the match look VERY sloppy. Crowd was dead for the match.

 

-Tommy Dreamer takes on Marc Henry. Nothing special here. A Squash match. Henry was impressive. Also, Theodore Long got the crowd going, ripping on Howard Finkel. Long, is a very funny guy in person.

 

-Rico w/ Jackie vs. Steven Richards w/ Victoria. Crowd was HOT for this match. Rico did not disappoint. This match was one of the best of the evening. It is too bad that the WWE is missing the book with both guys, especially Rico. He got the crowd going big time, and was very OVER with Billings. Richard's wins this match.

 

-Test & Christian vs. Lance Storm & Val Venis. This was a good match too. A lot of STACY chants. Christian is pretty impressive in person. Good match with all but Test. Test bored us. He got the crowd going pretty good, but lacked the in-ring skills to keep this match tight. I think Christian and Test won.

 

-Randy Orton vs. Hurricane. Good match. Orton kept going to the crowd, and making girls touch his nipples. It was a great match. Orton wins. Orton is on his way to being the top guy on Raw. You can see it, and feel it. He was Great to watch, and very talented.

 

-Lita & Matt Hardy vs. Molly Holly & Jazz. Lita was the most over of the night! Bischoff came out and announce a 2 on 2 match. He picks Matt as her partner. Of course, Matt just gets in the way, and pretty much makes it a 3-1 match. The Hurricane runs down, makes the save as Lita wins. Good match. I was disappointed to not see Matt Hardy wrestle though. WWE needs to push this guy too, because he has unlimited potential.

 

-Kane vs. Batista w/Orton.....Alright match...Kane wins. Nothing special here. 2 big guys...not much more.

 

WWE burned a lot of fans last time they were here by announcing certain matches, and not having them. This time they announce Ric Flair, RVD, Scott Steiner, Christian, Maven, Chris Jericho, Booker T for the show. And I know underneath it says "card subject to change". Well, as I expected, there was not Flair, no RVD, no Steiner, no Maven, no Jericho, and no Booker T. WWE refuses to bring Raw here as a Live show, because they feel attendance will not be good. Here are my thoughts on that. Back in 2000, when WCW was on it's last leg, Nitro came here, and SOLD OUT! Now, it is a given that you won't draw as big of a crowd if you aren't having it televised. However, with WWE advertising these guys to be here for a house show, and having only 1 of the guys advertise show up, it looks pathetic. It makes fans not want to go again. It makes them feel like they aren't worth the WHOLE SHOW. I know a lot of people who didn't go this time, because the same thing happened last time. I paid $43 for my ticket. WWE wants to charge outrages prices, and give the fans crap. House shows are REDICULOUS!!! Nitro was only 30, and that was TELEVISED! That is a good portion why business is down. No IC match, no World title match, nothing. WWE also continues to visit the same places for their televised shows, sometimes 3-5times a year. If WWE wants to increase viewers, they need to go to these "smaller towns" (although Billings is 115,000 people), and take EVERYTHING...make it televised. It gives the fans what they want, you don't tire out the same cities all the time, and your attendance will increase. Anyways...there ya go! Feel free to post this!

There aren't even "good" matches on Raw.

Because it's filled with entertaining skits, interviews, angles and promos, and captures my attention for 2 hours or so. It's like any other television show. Even if the matches aren't so great, there's enough filler to keep me glued to the TV.

 

That's not the best defense, as there are quite the number of bad, dull matches. But the show keeps me coming back week after week and I still watch. I consider it a great way to spend time every Monday.

Thing is it HAS improved in the last 3-4 weeks. Not much in the ring but the fact that they have actually planned stuff better is a sign of improvement. I can't see that lasting much longer though.

My mistake, it seems the Bashams are getting a Titan rather than a God push.

 

Shaniqua is pushed as the invincible amazon on Smackdown (which doesn't matter cause theres no wrestling going on there).

 

The Brothers are given the titles despite being heatless and untalented in the ring.
