EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 From 411 Early Buyrate For WWE Survivor Series Posted By Ashish on 12.07.03 Below expectations... WWE Survivor Series looks to have done about 500,000 buys. That is below the 625,000 buys WWE was expecting for the PPV. Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 You mean a recent WWE PPV hasn't done as good a buy as they'd hoped? REALLY?! Maybe these people NOT buying the PPV should be forced into a "Loser Buys The PPV" match, and then be screwed into a loss.
iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 That number is bullshit, IMO. They have underestimated all the buyrates this year. I bet they get around 550,000 - 575,000...that will be the number floating around in a few months.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 8, 2003 You mean the Undertaker and Vince McMahon fighting for no reason with no build up isn't a draw?
Guest drdrainoscott Report post Posted December 8, 2003 Considering the past couple of PPV's were in the 250,000 - 350,000 range, 500,000 is pretty impressive.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted December 8, 2003 I'll wait a few more months to know the real estimate, as they always say the numbers are bad, when the final ones usually end up from 50-100 thousand buys more than orginally reported.
teke184 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 500,000 would be a good buyrate if it was an In Your House show with either the RAW or SD crew, but it's below par for a co-promoted show. Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series would all be considered disappointments with buyrates below 600,000, although WM will have a bunch of trouble reaching that this year now that it's up to $50. That's fucking highway robbery considering that the five hour show will contain relatively little wrestling compared to all the backstage shit and musical performances no one really wants to se. iliketurtles 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 The thing is...even though the buyrate is going to be down for Mania this year, they'll bring in so much more money with it being 50 bucks.
Mole 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 Plus the fact it's FUCKIN WRESTLEMANIA 20. I am sure plenty of people will be getting it.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2003 Maybe booking a really really shitty card didn't help them as much as they thought it would.
