yankovic fan Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 When Russo came out and did his shoot on Hogan and Jarrett laid down, etc, Who all was in on it? We know: Russo and Jarrett obviously. The announcers looked shocked, even Madden the smug person that he was looked in amazement. Obviously whoever was in charge of contracts and the such was in on it. So, um... HELP?
yankovic fan Posted December 11, 2003 Author Report Posted December 11, 2003 Wait, the WHOLE thing was a work? Man don't I feel like an idiot.
Youth N Asia Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 I don't know if anyone knows for sure, but I think it was a work. But fuck Russo for pretending like he knows what the fans want, he's not even a wrestling fan. And hasn't he "retired" a dozen or so times now only to pop back up somewhere?
Guest The Higher Power Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 I think it was all planned but when Hogan said this company is in the dame shape its in is because of bullshit like this I think that was real and also the speech Russo gave after Hollywood Hogan left was real.
Betty Houle Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 Earl Hebner knew even though he promised Hogan that he wouldn't screw him over.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 The whole Hogan/Jarrett thing was a work. Russo's tirade afterwards was a shoot.

JustJoe2k5 Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Vince Russo didn't know what the fans wanted? I remember hearing Booker T get the biggest pop out of a WCW crowd in a long time when he won the title that night. That was definitely what the fans wanted.

Yeah, great idea to have Booker job to Kanyon just a few matches before winning the world title. While I'm all for Booker winning the belt I don't like that they bumped him from midcard to main event in a matter of one show. Didn't he pin Goldberg clean the next night or something?
MillenniumMan831 Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 He pinned Goldberg a week or two later in Cleveland with a Book End.
Youth N Asia Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 He pinned Goldberg a week or two later in Cleveland with a Book End. Yeah, how can you lose to Kanyon one week, and go over Goldberg clean right after. Like I said, I'm glad he got the spot, but they could have booked it better.

My big complaint is that I don't think Kanyon ever got a Title shot. You'd think he'd be belly-hooing around saying he's the Real World's Champion until he gets a shot on Nitro/Thunder. Then, Booker can beat him clean and move on.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 I think he made some noise about it and got into a 4 way No.1 Contenders match.
lomasmoney Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I think he made some noise about it and got into a 4 way No.1 Contenders match. In which he ulimately lost, right?
