Guest ligerbomb03 Report post Posted December 17, 2003 BROCK LESNAR SCHEDULED TO HAVE TWO SURGERIES by Dave Scherer Updated: 12/16/2003 6:39:54 PM The word going around at Smackdown is that Brock Lesnar is scheduled to spend his Christmas break having and recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his knee and elbow. Both injuries have been giving the WWE champion problems for some time now. The Smackdown brand, which other than a quick tour of the Middle East to tape the Christmas night edition of Smackdown, is off until the 12/30 Smackdown taping in Laredo, Texas. WWE expects Lesnar to miss the show from Iraq and the 12/30 taping, but to be back on the following week’s TV. Last I heard, WWE was planning to have Lesnar defend his title against Bob Holly at the Royal Rumble, so it wouldn’t shock me if they do some kind of angle tonight where Holly gets heat on Lesnar to set up the bout. Guest Skironox Report post Posted December 17, 2003 Please inform the uninformed... What is the process of an arthroscopic surgery? What injuries does it repair? How come the recovery time is so short? I've been wondering for a while.

Guest bort Report post Posted December 17, 2003 I think all that they are doing is creating a little hole in brocks arm and cleaning out tissue of some sort, or at least thats the way i understand it
Adam 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2003 Yeah, they drill holes in and scrape out all the shit they can find, and I think they test it too. My father had one done on his knee a year ago.
Guest Jimbo Report post Posted December 17, 2003 Yeah, they use an itsy-bitsy sized tools and clean out the garbage using a video camera and monitor projection. The healing goes very quick, so whenever possible, these guys take the arthoscopic surgery because it'll only takes a few weeks to heal and rehabilitate after the surgery. I had it after a chest injury a few years back where htis sort of thing was involved. It's terrific, the 'big' arthoscopic surgery areas that had all the important stuff happenning healed sooner then the other ones where they cut my side open and just drained some stuff out...tis pretty neat.
