The Cat Not Well Liked Backstage.

Recommended Posts

Ah, I think The Cat will be gone from WWE by WrestleMania, or at least television. Besides neat entrance music, he has a corny, unfunny sidekick, he looks out of shape, his reports of wrestling @ dark matches weren't positive, and he rambles on the mic like a drunk.

Kanyon sucks, by the way. Always has, always will. Can't talk, is boring, hits contrived "INNOVATIVE!" spots, and has ugly ring attire.

Liked Mortis, though, because he wrestled a different style. And he was under a cool mask. And he didn't talk. And he was a tag team wrestler.

I like the Cat but his damn butler is annoying.

And after seeing Spanky for a few months, I really don't see the point of the company even keeping him. He really isn't that impressive in any of his matches and his style is probably too fast paced to work in the WWE. He might be amazing at full speed, but at half speed he is rather average at best.

Same goes for Paul London.

Now why WGTT and Kanyon isn't on Smackdown is beyond me. Although I bet with Kanyon it's they just can't find a gimmick for him. Screw it, run with Mortis.

Then you obviously haven't seen Spanky or London doing what they can really do.

Which is why I said WWE style

I'm sure they are amazing at full speed, but I'm just not seeing much out of them at half speed.

So… what is it that Cat does?

I've seen him wrestle, and it's not good.

I've seen his colour commentary, and it's not good.

I've seen his recent SD! in-ring promos, and they're not good.

Tell me again what it is that Vince likes about him? If this is some response to the IWC's claims about his hoss-love, he's more gone than I though.

Kanyon pretty much wrestles the same style as he did as Mortis.

He's a sports entertainer. Not a wrestler. That's more than enough for Vince.

I loved the Cat in WCW, probably because they had a perfect thing for him (Commish)

Now he's just a dancing black man.

Get rid of the sidekick, new music. Get his old music, and make him "Commish of WCW" or something.

Am I the only one who liked Kendrick doing the rap on Cena?

I liked it. My 6 year old was asking me the other day what happened to the guy that wore the big clock around his neck. I was a huge fan of Kendrick on Smackdown.

For some reason, I keep saying "Somebody call my mama", so he must be doing something right to make do that.

I think his man-servant is fucking hilarious looking. Make Cat into a 6-man tag wrestler, with two really decent/good workers and have him be in the ring 15 seconds at a time.

To Vince McMahon, The Cat is the new Slick. Vince has a sort of affinity for MoTown and whatnot... hence Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Gladys Knight, Lil Richard, Boyz 2 Men, Salt n Pepa, Run DMC, etc. singing at Wrestlemania. I can imagine Vince, growing up in North Carolina, headin over to the wrong side of the tracks to listen to the "black music". Oooh, what times they were. He'd sip on his Dr. Pepper at the back of the broken down music hall and just snap his fingers - never wanting to get too out-of-control. Then he met his estranged father - a staunch Irish fellow who knew the value of marketing to ethnic groups - and this only enhanced his passion for the dark arts.

I like the cat. I get a kick out of his over the top gimmick and will forever be a fan of him for repeatably calling out Scott Norton in WCW.

AND FUCK LAMONT!

13.jpg

I SUCK! I SUCK! I SUCK! I SUCK! C'mon SAY IT! I SUCK! I SUCK! I SUCK! I SUCK!

Somebody call Lamonts Mama!

Maybe they can bring in Ernie Ladd and call him Sanford, and be Lamonts manager who has arthritus and fakes heart attacks to distract the opponents.

LOL.

But but but Tajiri and his body guards are JAPANESE! As for the Sole Bruthaz, I can see a 3 corner top rope finisher. 1st The Cat does the Feliner kick, then Flash Funk & Booker T hit the 450 splash and the Hangover at the same time. Or Booker T & Cat can do the Total Elimination but call it Sweetback Badasssssss Kick

Ernest Miller just needs his old WCW music back.

Varsity Blues or James Brown?

I think the Cat was way better on commentary than Demott is. I don't like his new servant either. I wish Sonny Ono would come back...

Sonny Ono did nothing of note to warrant his return to TV. Besides, doesn't he have some kind of discrimination suit pending against wCw?

Neither Cat nor DeMott are any good doing colour. Observe:

Josh: What do you think of Shannon Moore's chances against a guy like Kanyon, both of whom you're familiar with from your wCw days?

Cat: Y'know, I remember the time I walked up to that fool white boy Scott Norton and said "SOMEBODY CALL MY MAMA!" Now shut up, Josh! I got my Mama on call waiting...

DeMott: Shut up, Junior! You wouldn't know a wristlock from a ham sandwich. I wrestled with guys twice your size! I was the US Champion! I headlined wCw Saturday Nite on two non-consecutive occasions! Bradshaw's a stud! Shut up!

Can't argue those results.

And considering the limp fish he's had to work with on Velocity, that's a huge accomplishment. I can see him taking over Cole's spot on SD! in a couple of years, with the Goatee-Wearin' Bitch? usurping JR's seat once he becomes obsolete... well, moreso than now anyway. ;)
