Michael Landsberg will have The King of the World on the hot seat once again.

WWE Superstar Chris Jericho will be Landsberg's special guest on Off the Record, which can be seen Friday, Jan. 9 at 6pm et/3pm pt on TSN.

It will be Jericho's first appearance on the show since starring as a guest host in May of 2002. He was joined that day by (now former) Raptors forward Jerome Williams, actress/Playboy model Katia Corriveau and Finger Eleven guitarist Rick Jackett.

Jericho, whose real name is Chris Irvine, debuted on WWE television in August 1999 as 'Y2J' and has enjoyed an incredible career with the company.

The former WCW superstar has earned a lifetimes worth of accolades, including becoming the first WWE Undisputed Champion after beating The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin on the same night, and becoming the only superstar to ever hold or have held five different WWE titles.

Jericho has interests outside of the ring, dubbing himself as Mongoose McQueen - lead singer of the Christian rock band, Fozzy.

Jericho also has a hockey pedigree. His father, Ted Irvine, played in the National Hockey League from 1963-77 and scored 154 goals. Irvine played for the Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues.

Never knew they were a Christian band. Sure, "Happenstance" is about faith, but "Crucify Yourself" is kinda obviously about making one's own downfall (and was probably penned by RICH MOTHERFUCKIN' WARD, who has some of the best straightforward lyrics since the days of Black Flag, in my eyes). And "To Kill A Stranger" is obviously about war...so I really don't see how they're a Christian band, especially since most of their songs are just covers of hard rock and metal classics.

Ok... I know the first part, the Undisputed Champion is true.

But is it true that Jericho is the only superstar to hold five different WWE titles? And if so, wtf are they? I can only think of possibly three: Undisputed, IC, and Tag.

Undisputed, IC, Euro, Hardcore, Tag. They mean five different titles since he came in, not just since the name change to WWE, if that's what you were getting at.

Nope. Just wanted to know which 5.

...kinda surprised he's the ONLY superstar that has held 5 different titles.

He briefly had the Hardcore in 2001, for all of two or three minutes (about the same amount of time Jericho had it). As I recall, Angle beat RVD, only to lose it right back to him due to Austin.

Christians also held the lightheavyweight title as well, meaning Christians held 5 titles also.

Big Show i beleive, only to be defeated by Rhyno like 2 minutes later.

and sometimes they also count Jericho as a previous Cruiserweight champ, even tho it was in WCW, wich would make him the guy with most titles held in the fed.

Jericho beat Big Show to impress Mr McMahon - McMahon made Show vs Y2J and Benoit vs Rhyno, with the more impressive Chris getting a title shot against Austin later on. This was the week that Benoit got two title shots in Canada and got screwed twice. Another 'get screwed in your hometown' deal - Rhyno gored him on the ramp as he made his way to the back after the match, taking the title.

The RVD-Angle-RVD title swap is also accurate. Remember Austin pushing Angle off of the ramp?

Anyway, I've always wondered about Jericho's little record, especially since Angle won the SD tag titles. But now eiker has me thinking. If you include Jericho's title reign, then don't you have to include WWE, NWA, WCW and ECW titles for everyone? If so, does Jericho's WCW and WWE World titles take him up to seven? And how does he compare to others? I would think that Lance Storm would be pretty high... ECW tag, WCW Cruiser, WCW Hardcore, WCW US, WWE IC, WWE Tag... ok, maybe just six(or did I miss one?)... There has to be others as well...

LOOK WHAT YOU STARTED!!!

Don't forget to include Jericho's ECW Television title reign.

Counting titles that are still in existance and would therefore still count historically, Jericho has held six titles, Cruiserweight belt included. It might be 7 if he held the US Championship, but I don't remember him ever holding it and my memory of WCW stuff isn't too great.

Either way that beats out everyone else.

Jericho held the WCW World Title, the WWE Heavyweight Championship, the WWE tag team championship, the WWE intercontiental title, and the WWE Hardcore title all in his WWE run

5 titles.

but some people count the Cruiser championship too with Jericho, because the current belt is the WWF Lightheavyweight and WCW Cruiserweight championships combined, so it's the same lineage, so i think it should count because it's a current championship.

he also held the European Title for a day, he won it at WM 2000.

They never combined the Cruiserweight and Light Heavyweight titles, did they? I thought the Light Heavy just kind of disappeared while X-Pac held it.

If Benoit were to win the World Title, wouldn't that make him the one to hold the most titles?

He's had the WCW CW, WCW Tag, WWF Light Weight (before it cam back to the states), WWE Tag, WCW World, WCW Us, WWE IC, WWE Hardcore (I think), ECW TV, and I'm probably forgeting some.

I was gonna say he probably held a WCW title during the Invasion angle

I could have sworn Benoit also had the WCW TV around the time he was beginning to get pushed ( right before the US title reign). I think he won it off of Hall or something during the nWo 2000 thing.

He did during his feud with Booker. I think he won it twice but, they were on house shows and Benoit held it for a day. But, WCW never said anything about it.

Benoit is a former WCW World, WCW US, WCW TV and WCW World tag team champion (with Dean Malenko). He held each title once.

Benoit is a former WWF IC champ and former WWF World tag team champion. He held the IC title four times and the tag belts twice, once with Chris Jericho and once with Kurt Angle.

If you add that up, that's six belts and ten reigns.

Jericho is a former WCW TV champ and WCW Cruiserweight champ. He held the TV title once and the cruiserweight title three times.

Jericho is a former WWF World champion, WWF IC champ, WWF European champion, WWF Hardcore champion and WWF tag team champion. He held the WWF title once, the IC title five times, the European title once, the Hardcore title once and the tag titles twice, with Chris Benoit and Christian as tag partners.

During the invasion, and when he unified the world titles shortly thereafter, he held the WCW World title twice and the WCW World tag team titles once with the Rock as a partner.

If you add that up, that's nine titles and 17 reigns.

Jericho has held more belts.

EDIT: Benoit held the US title twice, defeating David Flair the first time and Jeff Jarrett the second time. So that's six belts and 11 reigns.

Benoit also held the TV Title twice, defeating Booker T the first time and Rick Steiner the second time. That puts him at six belts and 12 reigns.
