Guest JMA Report post Posted December 22, 2003 It's not MY definition, per say. I got it from dictionary.com. I don't care what religion someone is. But almost all fundamentalists and fundamentalist groups want to insert their religion into the goverment. And I DO care about that. That's a large part of why the Middle East is so fucked up--that and the fact that most of the goverments there tend to live in the past.

Spicy McHaggis 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2003 Saddam Hussein was never a threat to the US. He had no weapons capable of reaching the US. He had no plans to attack the US or US interests. Still no WMD found either. From the unanimously approved UN Security Council resolution 1441 (2002): Recognizing the threat Iraq’s non-compliance with Council resolutions and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and long-range missiles poses to international peace and security, ... Deploring the fact that Iraq has not provided an accurate, full, final, and complete disclosure, as required by resolution 687 (1991), of all aspects of its programmes to develop weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles with a range greater than one hundred and fifty kilometres, and of all holdings of such weapons, their components and production facilities and locations, as well as all other nuclear programmes, including any which it claims are for purposes not related to nuclear-weapons-usable material, ... http://www.un.org/Docs/scres/2002/sc2002.htm
Justice 0 Report post Posted December 22, 2003 Excuse me for having a little faith in my country, ok? But I don't buy this "bombs for oil" bullshit. The administration of this nation firmly believed that Saddam Hussein was a threat or they wouldn't have sent American boys to die over there. Whether Iraq was a threat or not is debateable, but I believe that Bush is believed they were. Unless you can prove otherwise, stuff it. Saddam Hussein was never a threat to the US. He had no weapons capable of reaching the US. He had no plans to attack the US or US interests. Still no WMD found either. Bull. Shit. Kays found in his first report a new missile program and missiles that the Iraqi Government had been working on that could reach Cairo, Egypt, and could easily reach Jeruselum. This also ignores the fact that he gives money to suicide bombers, once again threatening US Interests. And as stated before NUMEROUS TIMES, he wasn't an immeninent threat. Then again, if we had waited for them to become an imminent threat it would be too late. We were stopping a guy who was trying hard to become a threat again to us from ever becoming one again.
