Wow. What a performance. His father passes last night. I know its just the Raiders, but anyone not watching needs to turn it there right NOW. The man has a perfect 158.3 passer rating right now.

It's pretty insane, a lot of credit to his receivers who've really pulled some miracles with his passes.

So whats with this playoff scenario thing?

If Green Bay wins next week and Seattle wins....and Dallas loses.

Its a 3-way tie which means Head to Head is cancelled.

and Its all up to Baltimore vs Pittsburgh, Who needs to win? Ravens or Steelers? In order to deterimine who goes to the playoffs or not in case that 3-way situation does indeed happen

In that case, they go to conference record, and Green Bay will have the worst record of the three, which would eliminate them, if I understand the tiebreaking rules correctly.

Brett Favre is proving that he is one of the best QBs in the league. McNair who?

The only way for the Packers to get into the playoffs is to get the NFC North spot which is currently owned by the Vikings. So with a Vikings loss and a Packers win next week the Packers should be in the playoffs.

Packers are also in if Seattle loses next week, which is a distinct possibility on the road against the Niners.

All of the sports media are reporting that Dallas has already clinched a playoff spot, so they may already have a big lead in whatever the tiebreaker is (conference record? record in their division? dunno).

They have the best conference record, and would get in with the three-way tiebreaker with the Seahawks and Packers regardless of what happens next week.

No, he's proving that he's STILL one of the best in the league.

McNair is the one who is proving that he should be considered one of the best in the league.

All I can say about Farve tonight is: holy shit. The Raiders just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time to face a man on a mission.

Speaking of QBs, that stat on Rob Johnson is unreal. 1 sack every 6.7 snaps? Poor bastard.

My two favorite teams are the Packers and Titans, and I love both Favre and McNair (in fact, their jerseys are the only two NFL ones I own) so I can't say who's better... But DAMN, Brett was fucking amazing tonight. Go Pack, go!

It helped that he played the Raiders. They didn't look like they cared at all about the game.

Before someone mentions the Ravens last week. That had more to do with the Ravens not being ready for that game.

Well from what I understand the Packers are leading for a Wildcard spot.

And if Minnesota loses then they can take over there division and just be a normal team. However the Vikings are facing the Cardinals....unlikely they'll lose.

And Dallas is in the playoffs...as a wild card.

Dude, he could have played the Patriots last night and done that. He was on a fuckin' MISSION and he was not about to let his father's memory down like that. Like I told my father, he'd play against the other team's defense all by himself if he had to.

Now the Pack has to win against Denver in what should be the game of the week. It'd be nice if Minnesota lost to Arizona (hey, they beat the Packers) to give us the NFC North, but unlikely. Oh, and go 49ers! Beat Seattle!

But noone has answered my question

Michaels mentioned something about the Raven/Steelers game. I guess since the Seahawks beat the Steelers, if the steelers win and finish the season 7-9, i guess it gives them a better "Strength of Schedule" or something and if the Ravens win, it doesnt help them since they lost to the Ravens

so go Ravens! because seattle could beat SF, their always on and off (san fran), and dallas might rest some of its starters if philly wins on saturday.

Sportsline has a pic up of Brett crying at the funeral. I find it tasteless.
