ChrisMWaters Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Eh, as long as the buildup for Holly/Lesnar is better than the buildup for Steiner/HHH last year, it's already an improvement.
Guest MikeSC Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I thought I read that Holly vs Lesnar was just going to be a TV feud, with no match on PPV. Where'd that go... Meltz also swore we'd have Guerrero v Lesnar at SSeries. The WWE doesn't know what it's going to do. Dave doesn't, either. -=Mike
LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Wow Holly vs. Lesnar could be the most dissapointing PPV Title match since Big Show vs. Bossman at Armageddon a few years back At least that had some classic promos behind that though. This one may be better wrestling wise, it will just be EXTREMELY heatless. What if Hardcore was a Super-Heavyweight again and pulled a Mabel, where he was so heavy Brock couldn't kick out? Sorry about that last one, Vince Russo snuck in my house and started to use my keyboard.
Just John Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 What I want to know is who will turn face in the HHH/Kane match. Not that it matters because we all know Kane is Randy Savage to HHH's Hulk Hogan. It seems like Raw is starting a tradition of putting the worst title matches at the Rumble.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 I am certain its either Benoit or Goldberg. It really all depends on Goldberg's contractual talks. If he does get resigned, watch him plow through people and win the Rumble. If he doesn't, then Benoit gets the nod.

NoCalMike Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 The Rumble match itself is always fun to watch, even if Suckbag Orton wins it, it will at least be fun to watch for 75% of it. The two main event matches will definately suck, but I wonder what the rest of the card will look like.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 If they do co-winners, then how will they do a storyline where they compete for the final slot for Mania? Unless you mean both go to Mania as the Rumble winners?
Internet Warfare Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Benoit/eddie/chavo vs bashams/shaniqua. I'd LOVE to see it happen just so the SMARKS could bash the WWE ultra hard again.
Lil' Bitch Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Meltz also swore we'd have Guerrero v Lesnar at SSeries. You know, I was looking so forward to seeing that. I did enjoy Goldberg / HHH II after it was all said and done though. What I want to know is who will turn face in the HHH/Kane match Judging from the Armageddon finish, I'd say Kane since he was the one who got fucked over.
Guest Choken One Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 JESUS! Why Can't they have Shawn/HHH at the Rumble instead? Just have the Raw Match go to a 20 minute Draw or something or a double pin and have the rematch here...I mean if it's just gonna keep the title on HHH anyways... Just have Kane wreck Hell in the Rumble...Let him be #13 (Appros) and eliminate 11 of the 12 guys...Leaving Eddy or Jericho or whoever the fuck does the Iron Man run this year.
Guest JumpinJackFlash Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I think it will either be Shawn Michaels or Chris Jericho winning the Rumble, since Smackdown won last year, and Orton and Batista are not ready to be in the WM main event.
Guest Choken One Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Shawn doesn't need a Rumble win and No way in hell WWE will put Jericho in the Main event... Orton will win... If you could choose one of the two... Orton draws #27 and wins or draws #3 and lasts 60 minutes but is the last man out by Jericho...
ChrisMWaters Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I am hoping Benoit wins...but not betting the house on it. But think of this: Ratings for Raw would be better for the night after the Smackdown February PPV if the main event for that show was a match to determine the Number One Contender for the Raw World Title.
Just John Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 If you could choose one of the two... Orton draws #27 and wins or draws #3 and lasts 60 minutes but is the last man out by Jericho... The one with Jericho winning because no one cares about "iron men" unless they win. Remember where Kane went after lasting 60 minutes in 2001? Answer: Triple threat hardcore match at WM 17
The Ghost of bps21 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Does Bob Backlund still have the record?
ChrisMWaters Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Does Bob Backlund still have the record? Think so. ...if only the roster wasn't as big as is was. I would have LOVED to have seen Backlund in the rumble again.
Guest Choken One Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I want to See Jake Roberts Waddle back in the rumble...at #7 of course (for those who don't know...in SEVEN apprences at the rumble...he drew #7...four times. )
Tawren Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Does Bob Backlund still have the record? Him or Kane :/ Something I noticed while watching RR03 the other day: Batista isn't eliminated. Taker pushes him through the middle rope, then Brock comes up from behind and pushes Taker over.
Lil' Bitch Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Remember where Kane went after lasting 60 minutes in 2001? What number did he draw anyway?
Tawren Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Remember where Kane went after lasting 60 minutes in 2001? What number did he draw anyway? #6
Guest hhheld_down Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 ya know, directv is having a special now where for 95 dollars you can get the rumble, No way out, and WMXX as a package and i was thinkin of gettin it. But if this is the Royal Rumble MEs, I may just forget it.
bob_barron Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Kane didn't even last an hour. Backlund has the record
Guest Choken One Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Kane lasted 52 Minutes... but EVERYONE forgets to mention that Backlund was "out" on the floor for a goods ten minutes...along with the fact for about 25 minutes he just hugged the ropes and pretended to be exhausted... So, in my book Flair is the REAL Iron Man of the Rumble...Flair NEVER stopped for a breather...shit even during the down time(before Piper)he was still bumping...
SamoaRowe Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 If Benoit's not in a title match, it could mean he might win the Rumble .....or be stuck in a tag with the FBI. With a little luck, that FBI vs Benoit storyline will just be played into the Rumble match and they will work extra hard to eliminate Benoit, but in the end Benoit eliminates the FBI and wins the Rumble.
Guest Choken One Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Knowing WWE... The F.B.I puts a bounty on Benoit and shit...
AndrewTS Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Benoit/eddie/chavo vs bashams/shaniqua. I'd LOVE to see it happen just so the SMARKS could bash the WWE ultra hard again. I'd love for you to not troll like a jackass.
Lil' Bitch Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Benoit / Rhyno / Spanky Vs. Cena / Palumbo / Stamboli @ JD had a lot of promise to it, too bad it only lasted 4 minutes. It could have been a good match given more time. Why it was cut down to be so short, we may never know. Its a shame too.
Guest wrestlingbs Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 You know, I'd be mad, but I've become so disinterested in wrestling now I don't even care. I skipped the last two Raws and Smackdowns, and now plan on skipping the RR. Benoit isn't going to win. It's just that simple. If the WWE had any faith in the guy they would have put the title on him already. I say save your $40 bucks and spend it one something that you know you will enjoy, rather than something that has a vague-maybe-if-slim-chance-of being fun.
