Internet Warfare Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 The direct opposite of BUP's thread. First I was going to do a 'Best Throwbacks' thread, but knowing TSM we've probably already done one. So which are the best looking jerseys out there today or of yesteryear? I totally forgot about this one until the Warriors busted them out agaisnt the Lakers (and Cena wore one to Iraq) Probably my favorite Nice NHL jersey
King Kamala Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I gotta go with the LA Clippers alternate jerseys for basketball. Mixing the old school with the new school. The best in the baseball is a fourway tie, Boston, LA, New York Yankees and Detroit. Simple, cool looking and still worn by youngsters today (Hell, people still even wear Tigers jerseys) Football I have to go with the Raiders, black and silver are muthafuckin ass kicking colors (Except this year they're ass kicked colors)
Vern Gagne Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Chicago Bears road all white uniforms.
The Czech Republic Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 The red and black Buffalo sweaters are drizzling shit. The blue and gold were so much better and they need to go back to a variation of those. mid 80s to mid 90s: the peak of the NHL in all ways, including good taste in uniforms
The Ghost of bps21 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I like those Sabres jerseys too. The red ones BLOW and the all black ones are meh...but the ones from the first post I dig.
The Czech Republic Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 How can you like the new Sabres sweaters? All three suck, really, but the alternate logo with the crossed swords should be the actual logo on navy and old-gold sweaters. There's my idea.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I am in the minority that doesn't care for the blue and gold.
KingPK Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I think the Patriots' current home uniforms (the dark blue, not the alternate silver) and the red throwbacks they wore last Thanksgiving are pretty boss. The Red Sox and Yankee home jerseys have always been simple, but effective.
MrRant Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 I like the retroish new Sonics jersey.
Guest Olympic Slam Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 Top 5 Current NHL Jerseys.............. 5. Sabres Road - If you take away history and judge it simply on how it looks then this is a good jersey. I like this one too, but how dare Buffalo abandon the blue and gold! 4. Sharks Alternate - Black isn't exactly original but as just an alternate jersey, it works. If you haven't noticed, I like simplicity and there are few sweaters in the leauge as simple as this one. Looks great in person. 3. Red Wings Road - The Wings are a rare team in that I find these white jerseys to be one of the best, while their red home uniforms are one of the uggliest. The white in this uniform is able to hide the disgusting pinkish red that looks like it leaked all over the numbers. Oh yeah, the Wings have the best logo in all of sports. 2. Maple Leafs Road - Next to the Indianappolis Colts, the Maple Leafs have the best white uniforms in sports. No other team in hockey has made white look as bright as the Leafs have. 1. Blackhawks Home - Now this is a uniform. Easily the best red jersey in the leauge. This is one of the few jerseys in the leauge that actually looks old and looks like it stands for something. Honorable Mentions to the Nashville Predators Alternate uniform and the New Jersey Devils Home reds.
the max Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 You LIKE that mustard yellow Preds jersey?! My favorite NHL jersey: My favorite MLB jersey (I'm biased ):
DerangedHermit Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 (edited) Best in MLB: Honorable Mentions: too many (all except Brewers, new Padres, D-Rays, Yanks away, Cleveland -- liked the older ones) Edited December 25, 2003 by DerangedHermit
Guest BobbyWhioux Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 I defintely prefer the classic uniforms that have been virtually or totally unmodified for decades. Mostly because all the new "extreme!" era uniforms look so much less professional. So yes, in football its the likes of the Colts, Browns (as long as they don't use those damn orange pants) Raiders and, much as I detest the team wearing it, the Cowboys. Baseball: Giants, Dodgers, Red Sox, Yankees, but I'm cool with just about anybody who doesn't screw around with frickin' alternate jerseys (and even worse, alternate hats...bah), especially since colored jerseys have that whole batting practice / spring training / exhibition / this doesn't really count as big league ball and isn't important / vibe to them (I so wish the A's would ditch that crap. All white at home and all gray on road worked just fine, thank you.) Hockey and Basketball: anybody who's changed in the last ten years or so (which is most people) sucks. Bulls look cool. Curse the alternate jerseys.
Red Baron Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 Two of the best jersey's in the game
MrRant Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 The Sonics throwback jerseys are great too.
Guest Flyboy Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 Those throwbacks are quite hawt if I do say so myself. Nothing beats... , though.
