Gregg Williams and Dick Jauron Fired

Recommended Posts

Jim Fassel will go to Buffalo

Dennis Green will end up in Atlanta

Dan Reeves will end up in Arizona (I don't know why, I just feel that)

And the Bears and Giants will take the New England offensive and defensive coordinators.

Least that is how I see it playing out.

As for the Raiders....I don't know, maybe a college coach like Pete Carroll

Leave our Cooridinators alone...take the Vikings offensive cooridinator and the Bucs defensive cooridinator. I enjoy my Patriots 3 headed coaching monster

Which is exactly why they will come after the Pats. I hate it cause the Pats are my favorite team and seeing them lose coordinators would suck. However, I've come to realize that I should just trust the Pats since they seem to make everything work out in the end.

But still, I'd like to see the three headed monster remain.

And enjoy another year of December collapses and Jay Fiedler Dolphin fans.

Jim Fassel will end up in Arizona, where he has very strong ties. Dunno who's going to Buffalo.

You are all missing the big picture.

How many minority candidates will be interviewed by these teams?...

Al always seems to include Art Shell in his mix.

And the NFL now has the restrictions in place that certain number of minority candiates must be interviewed with the risk of loss of draft picks and heavy fines.

Personally, I don't see why Dennis Green DOESN'T have a job in the NFL yet.

And where the hell IS Art Shell??

And where the hell IS Art Shell??

I found this on NFL.com, where he writes a column. He is working for the NFL going to colleges talking to players about what they can expect once they join the NFL. He is also doing this now, taken from one of those columns:

My title here at league headquarters is Appeals Officer. I work in the Football Operations department, and my job is to preside over the hearings when players appeal fines they received for on-field conduct.

I bet the Bills are really glad they chose Gregg Williams over Marvin Lewis now...

We interviewed Three people for that job.

Gregg Williams (wasted more talent this year than this team has had since the Super Bowl years)

Marvin Lewis (turned Cincinnati around in 1 year)

John Fox (Takes Carolina to the playoffs)

Yeah...we are REALLY thrilled with how these last three years went.

I've heard that Dennis Green didn't want to be a coach for the last few years.

Of course, that's because Whitey is making him say that...

YEAH! FIGHT THE MAN!

....wait...I'm white.....

Damn ME! DAMN MY POWER!

....wait...I have no power...

Ummm....DAMN Daniel Snyder!

Anyone think Spurrier will quit this week?

Jim Haslett is very close to Bills GM Tom Donahoe.

That's another possibilty for Buffalo.

I hope Haslett doesn't end up here. His tenure in New Orleans has only been slightly less disapointing than the last three years here...and his team is less disciplined.

Most people here want him because he's a Buffalo guy who played here and married a Buffalo girl.

I really don't think he's a good coach.

I think the whole forcing a team to interview minorities thing is bullshit. A team is going to hire whomever is best qualified to lead their team to a championship. Pretty soon Johnny Cochrain and Spike Lee will be able to sit back though and enjoy an all black NFL due to the punishments handed out for not giving minorities a chance.

What is John Gruden's current status with Tampa?

Does he have a long-term contract?

All the talk around here seems to be that we won't be hiring another coordinator without head coaching experience this time. So you can cross off some people.

The main name is Fassel since he's an offensive guy which is what needs to be fixed, with Dick Lebaeu being thrown around since they want to keep the defense pretty much the same.

Atlanta is asking the 49ers permission to speak to Jim Mora Jr.

Why???

I want Mora back period.

I mean, who could forget THESE Jim Mora classics?

From 1996 while coaching the Saints:

"We couldn't do diddley-poo offensively. We couldn't make a first down. We didn't run the ball. We didn't try to run the ball. We couldn't complete a pass. We sucked. The second half we sucked. We couldn't stop the run, everytime they got the ball they went down and got points. We got our ass totally kicked in the second half. It was a horsesh*t performance in the second half. Horsesh*t. I'm totally embarassed and totally ashamed. Coaching did a horrible job, players did a horrible job, we got our ass kicked in that second half. It sucked."

And this classic gem from when he was with the colts:

"Ah what? Playoffs??? Don't talk about...playoffs??! Are you kidding me? Playoffs??! I'll be surprised if we win another game."

Now tell me, who when watching the NFL now doesn't say, "You know, I miss Jim Mora as a head coach."

Jim Mora may be the most entertaining coach in the history of sports

That honor goes to Bob Knight

I think it's a damn close race.

I'd call it a tie
