OK, sure he came back from the dead and reclaimed the Matrix from Rodimus, but Rodimus wasn't a draw and they needed to pop a rating. Anyway, I always thought Flint got the bigger push over Duke. From the second season on it was always Flint in every episode, Duke was just a background guy...I always hated Flint just like I always hated Springer (the Autobot)... Maybe he was riding on Lady Jaye's push, I dunno. I was only saying that Duke came back in the same movie - so the only guys that got a decent push were Roadblock and Falcon - and we never saw Falcon again. I agree with you about cartoon Springer. Comic book Springer though was a badass. You can say the same about Ultra Magnus, actually. Of course, neither sucked as bad as Wheelie, but that goes without saying. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 I actually liked Ultra Magnus and Rodimus Prime, who most people hate...I always liked the concept of a young guy suddenly thrust into the role of leader and not being able to handle it, it's actually a clever sub-plot, if not carried out that well by the writers...I also liked how they had Galvatron wrestling with split personalities throughout the third season...you don't see little sub-plots like that in today's cartoons...most TransFans hate that shit but I actually kinda dig it... The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 I always consider that if you look at the Autobots vs. Decepticons (in the movie especially) ...you will basically see WWF vs. WCW... with the Autobots playing the WCW role... and the WWE role played by the Decepticons (with a real good personification in Megatron/Galvatron as the WWF is basically forced to change) note: Unicron is not the World Widelife Fund...but I consider it the "thing that brought change" and of course the Decepticons knew about Unicron beforehand...just as Vince/WWE knew about the World Wildlife Fund beforehand... if TF: The Movie and the WWF vs. WCW end the same... WCW will win in the end, just as the Autobots did (though the Autobots in the beginning are basically not the same as the ones in the end, as a good chunk are dead... TNA anyone?!)
