haVoc 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 All the off air results from RAW... Credit: C. Reed & PWTorch.com/411mania DARK MATCHES (1) Garrison Cade defeated Black Gordon Jr. I was told from a friend that Black Gordon Jr. is the son of a somewhat famous wrestler from the old Southern Championship Wrestling days. Cade got the instant face pop being announced from San Antonio. Cade won the singles match with a bulldog. (2) Matt Hardy version 1.0 defeated Tommy Dreamer. This was a very good matchup, and I wouldn't be surprised if it actually was being taped for Sunday Night Heat. Dreamer and Hardy began to fight over the Singapore Cane, and as Dreamer climbed the second rope to hit Hardy with the cane, Hardy successfully knocked him onto the turnbuckle. Hardy then landed a second-rope Twist Of Fate to gather the win. SUNDAY NIGHT HEAT MATCHES (1) Steven Richards (w/Victoria) defeated Test. This was a rematch from their match two weeks ago, with much of the same moves. Test is seeming to copy more and more of Scott Steiner's posing and moveset. For the finish, Test tied up Richards in the ropes, distracting the ref to untie him. Meanwhile, Victoria came in the ring as Test planted a big wet kiss on her, only to get a swift kick south of the border for his troubles. As Richards was untied, he rolled up Test and used the ropes for leverage to get the three count for the second time in two matchups. The Steven Richards push continues, and I am begging to be shot now. (2) Rico (w/Ms. Jackie) defeated Brandon Cruz (not sure on name). A very standard jobber match, with Cruz getting some decent moves in, but Rico finally landing a hangman's neckbreaker to get the pinfall in this short match. (3) La Resistance (Renee Dupree & Rob Conway) defeated Val Venis & Lance Storm. Average quality tag match, with not much going for either team. The finish happened as Dupree tripped up Storm coming off the ropes to allow Conway to land a spike-style DDT to get the win. AFTER RAW ENDED After Steve Austin had finished drinking about 24 beers in 5 minutes, Austin picked up Eric Bischoff to hand him a beer to share. As Bischoff drank the beer, Austin landed another Stone Cold Stunner with a spit-take by Bischoff. Austin then brought in a few friends of his at ringside, and after threatening to sing "Feliz Navidad" himself, his friends do it instead and do it very well. Austin then brings in his personal trainer and tortures the crowd by singing a few bars of "Kumbaya." Austin and his friends then down about another 24 beers before finally leaving the ring for the night. So Hardy/Dreamer may not even get shown and Jericho and Christian both had the night off from the ring? Good thing we got that 6 women tag instead. Can't bitch too much though. Raw was pretty good. Guest Goodear Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Interesting to see Rico and Stevie getting semi-pushes lately. I think the match Rico pulled put against Jericho and Trish did him a world of good in the eyes of the brass and it parlayed nicely into that longer-than-usual match with Val and the wins over Hassenfeffener. Sure he's only won something like three strait matches now... but that might be a record for him and Stevie.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Interesting to see Rico and Stevie getting semi-pushes lately.. Yeah, Rico beat the jobber. He's getting pushed to the moon.
Guest Goodear Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Hence the word 'semi-'. Personally I didn't think they'd ever push Rico to even this extent. Just think ... he might actually beat someone important next. Or not. Beats me. I just thought I would point out a trend.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 So glad Matt Hardy jumped to Raw I agree. Who here said that it was such a great thing for his career, and that it shows that they are FINALLY going to give him a serious major push? I forget which thread I saw that in. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Hence the word 'semi-'. Personally I didn't think they'd ever push Rico to even this extent. No, I was fairly certain he'd always beat the no name jobbers.
notJames 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2003 Matt must really "luv" Lita enough to kill his career like this, because, he's going nowhere if he stays on RAW. Yeah I know, preaching to the choir...

Guest Goodear Report post Posted December 30, 2003 See... maybe its me, but was Matt doing anything on Smackdown either? This isn't a brand misuse... its the whole company. Not exactly helpful is it?
Guest Disbadger Report post Posted December 30, 2003 God dammit. They must be keeping Matt off tv untill his soon to be unsucessful face turn.

Guest Coffey Report post Posted December 30, 2003 The Steven Richards push continues, and I am begging to be shot now. What the fuck? What the hell is wrong with Stevie? At least he has some talent, unlike other people we have to watch.
Guest drdrainoscott Report post Posted December 30, 2003 What did Test do to deserve his depush??? Not that I'm complaining or anything... No heat, no mic skills, no ring skills, ratings death. Using that logic, Batista and Morgan wouldn't be pushed. He must have pissed Vince off somehow.

Awesome. *Goes to edit sig Yeah, Rico beat the jobber. He's getting pushed to the moon. Its better than him jobbing for a change. I'll accept any kind of push for Rico. No, I was fairly certain he'd always beat the no name jobbers. Include Spike, Maven, Dreamer What did Test do to deserve his depush??? He sucks for the reasons AS already stated. Who here said that it was such a great thing for his career, and that it shows that they are FINALLY going to give him a serious major push? I forget which thread I saw that in. Okay, so its not exactly what I wanted to see, but seeing Matt beat anybody is tons better than seeing him being beaten by a fucking cripple.
