TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 Randy Orton will carry the dead corpse of Al Wilson to a ***** match, get a Hogan-at-WM18-level pop every time he enters the ring, and kick Raw ratings up to 7.3 every week, and the sheep will still baaa "suckbag" Mark my words One flaw there... Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 That's correct. Once the AOL/Time-Warner merger went through, Ted went on to have less and less say, eventually being phased out altogether. Even then, I highly doubt the newer execs would want wrestling on their networks again. When the Fusient deal to buy WCW fell through, the reason was that the new WCW wasn't guaranteed a spot on TNT and/or TBS. Furthermore, even if AOL/Time-Warner did want wrestling again, part of the WCW sale to WWF included a clause that AOL/Time-Warner couldn't air wrestling until 2005 (or 2006, I forget which). haVoc 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2004 Brock Lesnar starts handing out **** matches like candy, but some people will still bitch he's just a hoss and was pushed too soon back in 2002. Triple H has his best year in the ring since 2000. Kurt Angle either dies or cripples himself in the middle of the ring. Undertaker doesn't retire. Survivor Series, Jericho (face) defeats Triple H for the World Title. December 1, 2004, after years of being a workaholic, Vince McMahon suffers a stroke. December 2, 2004, Steph takes full control of creative. On the December 6th Raw, Triple H beats Jericho clean for the Title at the 3:15 mark.

Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Well that certainly blows. I don't know if I'd want to be Ted Turner, on one hand you do make tons and tons of money...on the other hand when it comes to giving imput on anything related to the bussinesses you started it sounds as if they tell you "Sir, shut up and just go sit down and collect your checks". Well then I suppose main stream wrestling will die by Summer/Early Fall of 2004. Without real competition that can be exposed to everybody Vince is left to continue to make everybody do what he wishes because if they don't like it where are they going to go? First UPN will cancel Smackdown and then finally Viacom will tell Vince to just completely go screw.

Guest The Greek Physique Report post Posted January 2, 2004 Either the business (WWE) will fall even lower OR it will excell. It all is in the hands of VKM and his writers so.... expect the former. TNA I believe will get a show on cable, but unless they change their announce team and slash some of their shitty talent, it will last maybe one year tops. Indy wrestling will stay strong and will have an outbreak of some sort at the end of the year with a new company getting national TV time.
