Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 We have a school here in Edmond, Oklahoma(Charlie Haas' hometown) called "The University of Central Oklahoma" or "UCO". Well they're called The Bronco's and I don't even know what kind of football they play. But I figured that I would create them and turn them into a Division I school. I replaced Troy State in the Independents and I'm a rival with The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes. I mostly play teams from the Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas region. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 Become the premier team of the state of Oklahoma! *looks at OU* Jesus.....this is going to be hard.........*kills Bob Stoops in the night*......ok....not so hard. Now they'll get a crappy coach. They can ride off the talent and what Stoops built for the next few years then they'll slowly plummet. Then I'll pounce! Like a patiently waiting lion! Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2004 (edited) Season ENDS~! Bowl TIME~! Here's hoping I win it. Â Eleventh Game, Week 13: Canada Tech (7-2) at SMU (4-6) [Note: That's record heading INTO the game] Â Final Score: 63-35 W Â Wow. Just a fun, fun little game. Quite a lot of back and forth, but eventually, I end up smashing SMU to pieces. Fun times. Â Â Twelveth Game, Week 14: Canada Tech (8-2) vs. UTEP (4-7) Â Final Score: 52-42 Â I shall remember this game fairly well. Why? Because of the sacks. 16 total and man, it was just sacky all day. Think you got the TD? Think again as you are SACKED~! Managed to get ahead by a TD and then kick a field goal to seal the deal. Â Â 13th and Final Game Of 2003 Season, Week 15: Canada Tech (9-2) at Louisiana Tech (3-9) Â Final Score: 59-49 Â Ok... When you've got the ball for 3 quarters of the game and are STILL in a heated game, it's really bad. Basically what happened is my secondary was exposed and any flaw I had was reaped upon. I ended up actually trailing a game (it hasn't been since Fresno State) and was down 48-49 (missed a 2PT convert) when I plowed my way down to their endzone to get it 56-49. Then after a couple of really good stoppage, I took the ball down the field once more, but instead of testing my luck, I played it safe and nabbed the field goal. With 2 minutes left, I managed to stop them from getting anything going and thus retain my win. Â Â And so my season will come to a close. Most likely Edward James will get the Heismen with his 228 Receptions (record), 2732 yards via receiving (record), and 43 TDs (record). Nick Orton also broke records with 5765 yards passing, and 69 TDs. Â The coach (me), Rick Staven is also up for the award of Best Coach. Rock on. Â FUCK BOISE STATE! They lost their final game, but because they played 13 games and have a single NON-CONFERENCE win more than I do (whereas I played 12), I'm screwed out of the title. Despite us having the exact same CONFERENCE RECORD! BASTARDS! ...on that note, I went 10-2. Â Well, looks like I'm playing Purdue in the Silicon Valley Classic. Here's hoping for the best... More than likely I'll be chewed up and spit out. Â Ok.. I'm confused. Some how, Kansas State at 12-1 is #6 and Oklahoma is #1 at 10-2. Crazy I tell ya... Then again, it's gonna get worse if Kansas State wins the Big XII Championship as that would knock the Sooners out of the Nokia Classic (funny, where have I heard this SHOULD happen before?). Â Edit~! Silicon Valley Classic Game: Canada Tech vs. UConn (yes, it changed yet again) Â Final Score: 61-35 W Â Secondary got torn to shreds, but I did it right back but only took out 784 passing yards on them bastards. Hehehe~! I had a field day as I tore up more and more yardage every time I took the ball. Don't let the score fool you (haven't I said this enough?) but this was close as hell. If it wasn't for a stoppage that resulted in a safety late in the third, I wouldn't have probably won as that gave me the needed boost to defeat UConn. Â Oh... And Marshall wants to hire me... Um, no. Don't think I want the job. I like C-Tech a lot more. Edited January 10, 2004 by Vitiated Spirit

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 God damn I can't get good at this game. I destroy everything on Junior Varsity and then step it up to Varsity and get slammed hard. I'm thinking of just picking a good team(but not a great team like OU) and playing on Varsity to hone my skills. Save the task of taking a team from * to ***** whenever I'm very good at the game. Hmm.....I've always kind of liked Notre Dame.

Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted January 12, 2004 I'm thinking of grabbing this game (which I've never played) , how similar is it to Madden? (which I have played) Â ps - a barely on-topic side note: Sports Illustrated is shilling seperate "Limited edition Championship issues" for both USC and LSU. heh. HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 It's very similar to Madden with the biggest hurdle in terms of game play probably being the option run.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 Well I went with Michigan instead. First game of the season I beat Central Michigan 23-6. An alright start..though I should've walked over that team. 3 FG's...got it to the redzone 3 times and couldn't do anything against CM's shitty defense. My QB sucks. I hate it when I don't control him fast enough and he passes on his own because he throws like shit. He either overthrows his man or throws into triple coverage. He seems to be braindead.....hmm........then when I throw the ball on my own it sails right to my reciever...perfect...right into the numbers and they drop it.......someone doesn't want me to score a lot of points. But anyways I'll continue this season with Michigan. I need to work on my defensive and passing game though.

MrRant 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2004 Then you will just have to suffer and recruit WR next season. Just the way it is sometimes... I have a backup RB that is going to assume my senior RB's job that just fumbles EVERYTIME he gets the ball so I'm going to recruit a RB and start him. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 Well I continued my season against Houston. Absolutely thumped them 38-7. Next game is against Notre Dame.........this is going to be tough.
lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 Honestly, I played the game pretty much all summer, I am something like a level 32 EA Sports Gamer, and I just know how to exploit matchups. I played Safety and WR/ Emergency QB in high school, so I know what to look for in a defense and how to stop a team on offense. I had a streak where my buddy was killing me with USC and then I picked LSU and ran a Cover 2 Man/Bump and Run, he scored the first 14 points before i went to the Cover 2 and then i scored 61 points in a row on him. The only way to beat me is to pressure my Qb because i tend to get really one dimensional with the passing game. If you utilize hot routes, motion, and audibles, then you should be able to put up a lot of points
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Well, I just won the National Championship in my Hawaii season, and I have to admit, Texas is pathetic. It was the national championship game, and I was expecting a challenge. Texas had (finally) defeated Oklahoma, so I was thinking I would be facing a pretty tough team in this game. Heck, Oklahoma was beating me down 17-7 before my team finally got it together and came back for a 28-20 victory earlier in the season. Â Anyway, the score was reasonably close at 14-6 in the 2nd quarter, as they benefitted on an INT when I screwed up an audible, and a patently idiotic fumble on the kick return from my team. Of course, my team rallied and marched the ball down the field for a last second TD to put me up 21-6 going into the half. My team followed that up by getting the ball and another TD to put me up 28-6. Â Well, here it is, 3rd quarter of the National title game, and I am facing the second best team in the nation, and...they promptly fold up their tents and quit! They literally ran every time they had the ball every down but two, for the rest of the game. Â Here I was expecting a supposedly tough team to go out in a blaze of glory, and all I get is a team sitting in the fetal position yelling, "No mas!" That had to be one of the most pathetic displays of football I have ever seen. I have honestly never seen a team just up and quit like that. It was so sad, even the announcers were ragging on them, saying stuff like: Â Corso: "Texas didn't do much on their last possession. Other announcer: They had the ball? Corso: Exactly. Â I guess it's time for me to move on to another school in my game. I like Hawaii, but they have no real rivalries, and I kind of miss playing in the snow. Maybe I will try to lead Rutgers to a national title. That'd be a fun challenge.

Damaramu 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 He said he faced Texas in the title game.... Oklahmoa dunno why. Texas made it to the title game? Man this game is fantasy. Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 What were you doing facing Big XII teams as Hawaii? Did you load up your non-conference with top 10 teams? Â Well, the season before, there were 5 undefeated teams(Miami, OU, Hawaii, Colorado St., and TCU.) The national title game was Miami and Oklahoma. Figuring my team got screwed, I would stack the most insanely impossible schedule, and try to run through it. I also trying to see if I should move up to Heisman or not. Â My schedule was helped along by Hawaii replacing Arizona St. in the Pac 10. I also had Florida automatically penciled in as my first game. I figured I might as well put Oklahoma there because I wanted to see how I'd fare against them, and I didn't really need to squash Arkansas St. Â I did have three top ten teams in my original schedule. I had Oklahoma(number one), USC(number 4), and Oregon(number ten). USC ended up losing to Cal, then getting mauled by my team 38-10, then dropping a third straight, and finishing unranked. Oregon went into my game against them 6-0 with, according to Corso, "an unstoppable offense." My number one defense took offense, and, by the end of the game, they lost 34-0 in one of my finest games. Their offense didn't even gaining 150 total yards, while their QB got sacked like 8 times with 3 INT's. Unstoppable, my ass. Â Anyway, I credit that Oklahoma team, unlike Texas, USC, and Oregon, at least they played like they belonged in the Top 25. Â Texas made it to the title game? Man this game is fantasy. Â I think it is somewhat realistic. In my first three seasons, Oklahoma destroyed poor Texas. Texas finally got over the hump, only to choke in the national championship game. Typical Texas. Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted January 17, 2004 I resurrected a Dynasty I started with the Morgan State Bears. In my first season I went undefeated (with an easy ass schedule) and beat NC State in some shitty bowl to finish #8 in the nation. I lost my star running back (2,000 yards) among other players and had to recruit heavily before year 2. I ended up with a great WR who's leading the Heisman Trophy voting and I'm in the middle of an undefeated season again. As of right now, FSU is my scheduled opponent for whatever bowl I play and I'm not looking forward to that game. After this season, hopefully I'll be able to recruit higher caliber players and make a harder shcedule.
