Big McLargeHuge 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 I enjoyed their B-movie parodies they did a while back. I think that's it.

Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted January 3, 2004 I'm pretty sure the cast changed around so much because they were better than they expected and when they started getting offers for other things they jumped. Watching it recently, I realize I should of watched more. I prefer SNL, but overall there just as entertaining and Stewie is gold.

JasonX 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2004 Does anybody know why the cast changed so much after the first season? Mad TV underwent serious retooling after the first season, as they ditched about 95% of the cast and replaced them with new cast members do to the fact that the show did extremely poor in the ratings during the first season. The ratings rebounded towards an acceptable level after said retooling, which helped save the show from cancellation....

Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2004 I absolutely abhor Stuart. I found it sort of funny the first time I saw it. And then every time they brought him back it got less funny. And the worst part is that my sister saw one of them and was quoting him for like two months. Oh, and the Steven Segal impersonation was GOLD. First time my dad (a major martial arts fan) and I saw that we were laughing our asses off.

Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2004 I liked the F13 parody they did where Jason went into space Uhm... wasn't that an actual movie? Am I missing a joke here?
JasonX 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2004 I liked the F13 parody they did where Jason went into space Uhm... wasn't that an actual movie? Am I missing a joke here? It was during the show's first season, they did a bunch of horror movie parodies for their Halloween show and one of them was a "Jason in Space" parody where Jason sneaks aboard the Apollo 13 ship and kills the astronauts on said flight.... Years later, there would actually BE a "Jason in Space" Friday the 13th Film called "Jason X" though Jason X was set in the future and had Jason kill off of the entire cast of Andromeda... HollywoodSpikeJenkins 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2004 Will Sasso and Alex Borstein are hilarious. But every since 2000+, it's been horrible. But during Mad TV's best years, it was a lot funnier then SNL. Edit: Nicole Sullivan had her moments also.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 What is better Valcomb lady of Mad TV or the Simma Down Now lady of SNL? Nancy Sullivan vs Cheri Oteri.
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 Kenny Rogers' Jackass are the greatest skits I've seen on a sketch comedy show, plain and simple. Anyone who hasn't seen both of them need to download them off Kazaa NOW.
JasonX 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 What is better Valcomb lady of Mad TV or the Simma Down Now lady of SNL? Nancy Sullivan vs Cheri Oteri. Vancomb Lady. One of the most evil and funny characters ever to appear in a sketch comedy show and the show's breakout non-celebrity parody character.... And let's not forget Nancy Sullivan's hate-mongering country-western singer character, who in one of the show's most hillarious sketches praises Eminem's ability to reach millions of white kids with songs condemning gays and unwed mothers and talks about doing her own album of hate-core rap songs ala Eminem..... RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 Mad TV is more about annoying you than making you laugh - the Vancomb lady and Mrs. Swan were the precursors for Stewart and the old lady that always coughs...
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 Ok so who is better Mad TVs old lady that coughs or SNLs "I luv it, I'm 55 years old.......I luv it, luv it, love it" lady?
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2004 Mad TV is more about annoying you than making you laugh - the Vancomb lady and Mrs. Swan were the precursors for Stewart and the old lady that always coughs... Skit for skit they're more annoying then SNL, but then again they're more likely to get a big laugh out of me then SNL
Guest Skironox Report post Posted January 5, 2004 I just remembered the all time greatest Mad Tv skit. Aries Spears is DOLEMITE!!!! A spoof on blaxploitation flicks of the 1970's, Dolemite was done so intentionally bad it almost made me mess my pants. Dolemite's pimp cane would be stolen by the evil white sheriff and he'd have to seduce a white woman and get it back. Horrible acting and porn music made the atmosphere. The best moment was when Dolemite was tied to a chair and he's struggling, and looks at a pair of scissors. Poof! A quick edit and Dolemite is magically free and has the scissors in his hand. Ahhhh.... much like it's Comic bretheren, Mad TV was best in it's mid years.
