Butt Plugs: X-Men Alpha Review

Recommended Posts

Yeah, I read that. Looking back, a lot of stuff about X-Men: Alpha was pretty accurate. Roger Cruz wasn't ready for an "event" book, and it showed. As for Harras micromanaging things, well, I'm not exactly surprised there.

Overall though, I did enjoy the AoA storyline, so I guess I can't really complain in the end.

Man, that brings back memories. That was probably the last story arc I read before quitting comics. I've been wanting to get back into them, and now I really hope my old books are still around. I had (and loved) every issue of the Phalanx Covenant and the Age of Apocalypse, and I really want to read those again.

Jesse gets better and better each time whenever he churns out a column like this.

Marvel politics in the 90's would make wrestling fans cringe at how disorganized and greedy they all were (to which they still are to a lesser degree).

Bob Harras micromanaged the X-Men... how... um... shocking.

Age of Apocalypse was a damn fine piece of work overall, but Alpha and Omega blew chunks. Probably some Harras influence there as well.
