The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 there's a good final episode.... 7 or 8 seasons down the line... YNA informs me this show could do well on the WB... maybe a one hour comedic drama type show could be developed...
Art Sandusky Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 NO! NO DRAMEDY!! I HATE comedic dramas, they always end up more of the latter.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 okay Kotz...i'm sure we can work out something good...
Hoff Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 I think the frat should blow up every episode.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 and then just be fine in the next one?
justsoyouknow Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 and then just be fine in the next one? No. There's already way too many "south park" references. If Hoff is going to Spinebuster people every episode, you can't be having a frat house blow up every episode, too. Is Rant going to kill a hippie every episode? Is Dama going to talk about Rod every episode? Is CWM going to gnome people every episode? Is Kotz going to su.....nevermind. Just don't do the frat house blowing up idea.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 well.... CWM may gnome someone at one point or another... but i'm not giving Rant "liscense to kill" ...for one... Zsasz would cry...and two... just no.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Some of you would be unfortunate to have to eat food on a meal plan. Meet the cook: And yes, I know thats Barth from You can't do that on Television. And no, Marv won't be cooking burgers out of vomit. I just like the picture...
Spaceman Spiff Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 and then just be fine in the next one? No. There's already way too many "south park" references. I thought it was more a "SeaLab 2021" reference.

The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 you people seriously do need to get on TV... yeesh...
k thx Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 and then just be fine in the next one? No. There's already way too many "south park" references. Repetition is the key to funny.
BX Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 No it isn't. It's funny when used in moderation. What I see here is like five repeating jokes every episode. That's not comedy. That's fucking "Groundhog Day". Fuck that, and fuck you.
Art Sandusky Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 Some of you would be unfortunate to have to eat food on a meal plan. Meet the cook: MARK OUT Yes, one running gag is enough. We need to do an AIM writing session here soon.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 the only one I really wanted to concentrate on as a repeating joke was the SPINEBUSTAH~! Other stuff may be mentioned offhand...but won't be setups for jokes or anything...
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 Oh...as for the Writing Session... i'm free after 6:30 tonight or so...though random suggestions through PMs or this thread are helpful
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 i did not know you had AIM there, BX...
BX Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 If you've ever been to a WDI chat, you've seen me. I won't post it here, because of he whom I will not speakth of, he of 28-32.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 we have these things called PMs, man... do that... I am still confused as to what to do for the theme song...
Art Sandusky Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 As I told Jon on AIM last night, a Prime character could be worked in, with the HAL-9000 playing him. It can be a supercomputer the gang discovers deep in the bowels of the library, a miserable failure from the university's computer sciences program during the 1970s or something.
Murmuring Beast Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 we have these things called PMs, man... do that... I am still confused as to what to do for the theme song... I Get Around: Opener Sloop John B: Finishing credits

Kotz could turn it into a stereo, and then throw an all-night rave in the dorm room the night before I have a huge exam. Hilarity ensues as I try to persuade him that I need to sleep, while he keeps expressing a desire to, and I quote, "Dance the night away."
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 it's not "dance the night away" it's "let the river of musical emotion take him to uncharted places" EDIT: Oh...and why are you never on AIM when I need to scold you for making me laugh so damn hard.
justsoyouknow Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 I actually do most of my posting while I'm at work. I don't get off until around 6, but I don't end up getting home until 10, so it's tossup for when I'm online. And I'm glad that someone around here appreciates me.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 so then...when will our first big Writing Session be?
Art Sandusky Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 it's not "dance the night away" it's "let the river of musical emotion take him to uncharted places" EDIT: Oh...and why are you never on AIM when I need to scold you for making me laugh so damn hard. I'M NOT ONE OF THOSE GODDAMN RAVER STEREOTYPES!!! NONE OF THE ONES I KNOW EVEN TALK LIKE THAT!! ARGH!!!! Yes, let me turn Prime into a stereo. "What Have I Done to Deserve This" would work as a theme song.
justsoyouknow Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 so then...when will our first big Writing Session be? Well, tonight we're celebrating my sister's birthday, so I'll probably be tied up all night. Tomorrow's Friday, so I probably won't be on at all tomorrow night. You can go without me, just have Kotz fill in for me.
The Amazing Rando Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 Kotz would be there anyway... i'd like to get 3 or 4 people... tell your sister that "Some guy named Rando wishes you a happy birthday" and if she's legal i'll take her number...
