Not true. You could have Heyman sign over his contract to Bischoff, leaving Benoit w/ no other choice but to go to Raw. It's not the perfect solution, but it wouldn't have Benoit leaving & looking like a pussy, and it makes him a sympathetic face when he shows up on Raw. It still leaves the Benoit/Lesnar situation unresolved, but it at least doesn't make it look like Benoit is running from him.

The more I think about this, the more I think it will mirror the Tenzan situation going on in New Japan.

 

Benoit is involved in a long hunt for a world title, he finally gets it (with, strangely, a win over not Brock but Trips), but then loses it immediately to a young upstart favored by management (i.e. RANDY ORTON), thus making his months of build up for the title ultimately worthless.

They have 3 real possibilities here, assuming Benoit wins:

 

1. RAW and Smackdown have a trade, Benoit for Goldberg.

 

2. Heyman simply fires Benoit from Smackdown after Rumble so he doesn't get the title shot.

 

3. Benoit chooses to go to RAW, saying that RAW Title is the real belt or something to that extent.
