Slickster 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2004 Yeah that's just fucked up... and where has Matt Morgan been anyways? I mean Rhyno just main evented Smackdown two weeks ago...and yet isn't on the card... Remember, some of these lower-card entrants can be 'replaced' on HeAt with a backstage attack or something like that. 1998: Skull KO'd backstage, doesn't enter 1999: Mosh's spot taken by Viscera 2000: Thrasher's spot taken by Bob Backlund 2001: D'Lo/Chaz's spot taken by Drew Carey
Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2004 Ernest Miller is in the Rumble but Rhyno ISN'T? Vince must really hate Rhyno. Funny, when they showed the guys in the Royal Rumble on Smackdown, Rhyno's pic was there. However they never mentioned he was in it or is listed to be in it in WWE.com
Aero 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2004 Maybe the final TBD spot on the WWE.com site will be Rhyno, but then again, why not just put it up like everyone else? Maybe it's the return of the Undertaker? Any other possible mystery opponents?
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2004 EDIT: Plus, my secret theory about how Michaels and Lesnar are the same person, just after different phases of body development. Think about it...have we EVER seen HBK and Lesnar in the same place at the same time? On the Raw before Summerslam 2002, during the Rock-HHH main event, Brock gets on the apron in street clothes while HBK & HHH are fighting inside. HHH ducks a punch, and HBK nails Brock off the apron. The clip is in the HBK-HHH video package at Summerslam. Forgot about that... ...one of them was a hologram! Yeah, that's the ticket!
clean rob 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2004 Jericho isn't retarded enough to DIVE OVER the top rope. He's not Kane (1999) where he's immotionally retarded and doesn't know what the hell he was doing. Only other times I think someone did that was 1992 & 1997. in 92 they let Savage stay, but in 97 they let Ahmed go. Or Jericho eliminating himself is just too corny. If they are going to do that angle, I maintain the best way is for a bunch of guys to be doing the "all shoving a big man over the top" spot, and Y2J to head top the top turnbuckle, looking to missile dropkick them all over the top rope (possibly having done the same spot once already in the match so the crowd can plainly see what he's about to do), when he sees his damsel in distress on the floor. This makes it much more believable for him to go STRAIGHT OFF the turnbuckle onto Christian or whoever it is threatening Trish, as it's a split second, emotional (or immotional, if you prefer) decision for Jericho. And yes, it is corny...but in that sense, it fits in with the angle so far.
eirejmcmahon 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2004 Somebody said this on another thread and it sounds very WWE - it comes down to Benoit/Goldberg, Lenar interfers and tries to eliminate Benoit but accidentally knocks Goldberg over the top rope instead. It's perfect in that it's a shit way to kickstart Goldberg/Lesnar and does nothing for Chris Benoit.
Aero 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2004 And indeed, Rhyno was just added to the Rumble match over at WWE.com.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 23, 2004 well shit... There goes ANY SORT of drama... And The Cat and Morgan are here why? Morgan, I can understand as he is/was heyman's hench man and will be there to take out Benoit...they need to have a segment with RHYNO AND MORGAN where Heyman and Lesnar implores that their only purpose is to get rid of Benoit and yet in the matchRhyno and Morgan screw up and they go at it allowing for Benoit to casually push them over... Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 23, 2004 Of course, except for #1 & #30, all of mine are complete guesses. Also, Rhino is listed as an entrant on the Royal Rumble official site, so I assume he's in it. Chris Benoit A-Train Matt Morgan Kurt Angle Ernest "The Cat" Miller Rene Dupree Charlie Haas Chris Jericho Rob Van Dam Christian Booker T. Scott Steiner Billy Gunn Nuzio The Hurricane Rico Tajiri Matt Hardy Spike Dudley Shelton Benjamin John Cena Randy Orton Test Bradshaw Rhyno Rikishi Kane The Big Show Mark Henry Goldberg

Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 23, 2004 Well, those are the entrants, and I just assumed a lot of the hosses would be towards the end of the Rumble so the commentators could talk about weight and how hard it will be to over come such size and all the other bullshit. spiny norman 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2004 Okay, my order: 1. Chris Benoit 2. Christian 3. Charlie Haas 4. Rico 5. Big Show Big Show eliminates Rico, gets the other two heels to help him work against Benoit. 6. The Hurricane Rushes to Benoit's aid, is eliminated. 7. Nunzio 8. Chris Jericho Jericho goes in, eliminates Charlie Haas, Nunzio and Big Show. Christian is left attempting to eliminate Benoit, draws Jericho over for help, but Jericho eliminates Christian instead. Jericho and Benoit make an alliance to be the final two. Christian goes back in and lays them both out. 9. Billy Gunn Comes in with a massive, grandiose entrance. After a while and the announcers putting this over as such a huge return, he goes over to Benoit, who is easy pickings to eliminate, but Benoit fires back and knocks out Gunn. 10. Kane 11. Renee Dupree Kane beats the hell out of Benoit and Jericho who can't get one-upmanship on him. Dupree enters and tries to attack Kane, but Kane eliminates him. 12. Matt Morgan 13. Booker T 14. Matt Hardy 15. Kurt Angle The heels dominate the faces. The faces get a brief moment of being on top with Booker, but that is cut short. Angle's entrance gives them the advantage again, as he eliminates Morgan. 16. Shelton Benjamin 17. A-Train 18. Ernest "The Cat" Miller Benjamin and A-Train give the advantage back to the heels, but Train and The Cat begin brawling and are eliminated together by Jericho and Benoit while they brawl near the ropes. 19. Tajiri Tajiri attacks everyone and is promptly thrown out. Kane, Hardy and Benjamin are still dominating. 20. John Cena Cena cleans house, eliminating Hardy and Benjamin. Cena, Angle, Booker, Jericho and Benoit unite to try and get Kane out. 21. Test 22. Rhyno 23. Undertaker With the entrance of Test and Rhyno the heels begin to dominate again. Undertaker comes in (in the place of the injured Spike Dudley) and disposes of the two of them. Kane eliminates Booker and goes face to face with Taker. The announcers put over big time how Kane's the reason Taker could get in, blah blah blah. The two brawl for a while as Benoit, Jericho, Angle and Cena get a breather. 24. Mark Henry 25. Scott Steiner 26. Rikishi Those three enter and everyone begins fighting amongst one another. Rikishi begins strongly against everybody and brawls with Steiner near the ropes and the two of them are eliminated by Taker. 27. Rob Van Dam RVD and Jericho eliminate Mark Henry together. 28. Randy Orton 29. Bradshaw 30. Goldberg In the ring: Benoit, Jericho, Kane, Angle, Cena, Undertaker, RVD, Orton, Bradshaw, Goldberg. Goldberg eliminates Bradshaw. RVD tries to do some crazy move and in the process propels himself over the top rope. Goldberg and Undertaker see Kane as their biggest threat and team up to eliminate him. They do so, but Orton sneaks up behind them and throws them both over the top. The remaining five fight for a while until Orton eliminates Cena. Final Four: Benoit, Jericho, Angle, Orton. Angle realises that he has to eliminate either Benoit or Jericho due to their alliance of sorts and so goes for the attack. He is about to suplex Jericho over the top rope when Orton attacks and knocks them both out. However, Jericho manages to land on the apron. Orton hits the RKO on Benoit and leaves him out while he faces off against Jericho. Orton has the advantage and is on the verge of eliminating Jericho when Benoit comes and throws him out. Final Two: Benoit, Jericho. The two pause when they realise they made it to the final two. After shaking hands, they fight it out for a good while, but it all ends with Benoit eliminating Jericho without controversy. Jericho congratulates Benoit post-match, and the show goes off the air with Jericho holding Benoit's arm high. Feel good moment of the year.
