Who made the best non-Van Halen work

I'm picking Diamond Dave. I find his stuff more listenable than anything produced by Hagar or Cherone when they were not in Van Halen.

Of course, Sammy was a part of Montrose back BEFORE the Van Hagar days and made some good stuff, like "Bad Motor Scooter" and "Rock Candy." Still, I don't think that's enough to overtake Dave as king.

I enjoyed most of Sammy's Non Halen work, as a kid, and I still do. I also enjoyed all of Roth's Non Halen work. Actually I think Sammy was better for Van Halen than Roth.
