So, I'm watching TV last night before I get online to post the latest SWF show. My wife is watching "For Better or Worse" where a couple has five of their friends and relatives plan their wedding in a week, on a $5000 budget and the couple has no say in it. They are introducing the people this couple had picked and one of them is her brother-in-law, Sal. They say he is a professional wrestler, so I look up, wondering if it is someone I've seen before... and lo and behold, it is Chavo Guererro Jr!

He was gone for part of the week at an "out-of-town wrestling match", but he got a lot of the crdit for helping with the baking.

So, is Sal really part of his name or just something they used because the WWE wouldn't let them call him Chavo?

Normally, Mexican wrestlers will take the ring name of their father even if it isn't their given name. For the record, Chavo Jr's real name is Salvador Guerrero III. :)

Well that explains the Sal then. Cool. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that Chavo was actually his name, thus my confusion. Otherwise, I would assume (as I usually do) that it is a stage name.

He came off as really cool and funny on the show, and his kids were adorable.

Man... I thought I was the only person who saw this last night...

Oddly enough, along with calling him by his real name, the narrator called him "Chuao" near the end before the wedding(when he showed up on the boat) and was taking quite a few jabs at him because he was out-of-town... heh.

Personally, I was hoping for a drunken Eddy sighting at the wedding just to spice things up.

Well, my friend told me he was watching TV late one night, and he saw an infomercial with Eddy Guerrero lifting weights.

Yes, his wife was on the show. She is the Bride's sister. And she was cute, but that didn't exactly make her odd in her family. All of them were pretty good looking.

Mind you, in the back of my mind my survival instinct is telling me that calling another man's (particuarly a wrestler's) wife "good looking" implies I was checking her out which could lead directly to me getting my ass kicked by a cruiserweight.

And that would suck...

BTW, great quote of the night? Chavo - "That's right! I can bake and kick your ass!"

I still got that WCW issue and his wife (Sharri) is pretty hot. Pictures of them golfing together and Chavo sitting at the table with the pet horse Pepe waiting to eat enchiladas are priceless.

not necesarily...he might take it as a compliment...when you start saying stuff like "Your wife's a peice o' ass!" or "Yeah, I'd plow THAT!" is when you need to start worrying.
