Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted January 26, 2004 The only thing that dissapointed me was Shelton Benjamin's short ringtime. Dammit he's one of the World's Greatest Tag Team...which makes him one of the World's Greatest Wrestler.
The Man in Blak 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Not only was his ringtime short, but his elimination was embarrassingly contrived. When Orton (or whoever) gently pushed him out after he straddled the rope with his own kick, the crowd just groaned. Not exactly a good sign.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Well, He was one of the final four anyways with or without austin being counted... 2004...1992... Which is interesting connection Benoit=Flair (Iron Man lasting a hour) Angle=Hogan (former champion pro americana) Show=Sid (Big Man with late draw) Jericho=Savage(Spunky former champion)... cawthon777 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Jericho=Savage(Spunky former champion)... That's exactly what I was thinking.
notJames 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 another thing that bothers me...Why didn't Lesnar just fucking attack Goldberg during the enterance? that way goldberg gets rolled him and TBS could chuck him over and Goldberg gets revived and SPEARS everyone save for Benoit beause the refs finally stop him and Lesnar taunts Goldberg as he growls... can someone tell me why brock felt the need to screw Goldberg? Because Goldberg called him a pussy during an interview beforehand. They also had a brief staredown at another co-PPV (SurSer maybe?), so they were probably playing that up as well. Decent bit of continuity there, but I'd still prefer Lesnar fight someone who can actually wrestle for more than three minutes.
TheFranchise 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 He wont have to.. Raise your hands if you want to see him squash Goldberg in three minutes..
Guest neodragonsan Report post Posted January 26, 2004 He wont have to.. Raise your hands if you want to see him squash Goldberg in three minutes.. *Raises hand* But can we see it in more like 18 seconds rather than 180 seconds?
Jack_Bauer 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 I have to say that I was delighted at the amount of time they gave Randy Orton in the match.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Matt Hardy had a nice run until stupid Rene Dupree came along to do his "eliminate a guy, dance, get eliminated" spot. Dammit! YOU KNOW YOU MARKED FOR THE FRENCHIE SHUFFLE!
notJames 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 I want Brock to take him to school. Embarass him on all fronts... out-grapple him (yeah, I know...), overpower him, absorb all F.G.B. can dish out and still hoist him up for the F-5. A Jericho-esque cocky pin would be icing on the cake. That or pull a Holly and drop him on his head.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted January 26, 2004 The mark in me wants to see Lesnar embarassingly decimate Goldberg in all of his growling, snarling, punching and slamming glory with his (not perfect but) much smarter ringwork and overness. Yes, the mark in me wants that. I can safely say that's what most marks also want after the very different reactions both Goldberg and Lesnar got from the crowd last night. Goldberg got a HUGE pop for coming in, and Brock's F5 got a pop more for the "Holy shit! Brock and Goldberg fighting" factor then for Brock himself. Most marks like Gberg.
notJames 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 How do you explain the pop when he got eliminated? I'm not sure we can attribute it to Angle in this instance.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 There were quite a few boos in the crowd for Goldberg's entrance, so I wouldn't write Lesnar's F5 pop off as just a Holy Shit pop.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted January 26, 2004 How do you explain the pop when he got eliminated? I'm not sure we can attribute it to Angle in this instance. C'mon guys, most of the people there were pro-Goldberg. He's not over like Foley, but stop trying to read what isn't there.
