Mole 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 For a long ass time, I am actually excited about the WWE product. I won't be able to stay home tonight because it is my friend Joe's last night in town before he goes to school. I will actually record Raw tonight to see what is going to happen. I know some of these events will happen on Smackdown, but the following stuff makes me want to watch WWE programs. Triple-H/HBK feud: I can't believe I am saying this, but I want to see what happens next. They have had two good matches in the past month or so, and their program has been pretty good, wel actually decent. I just want to see another good match out of them. Orton/Foley feud: Even though I hate Orton, I like seeing Foley out there doing the right thing. Foley knows that his career is long over; but he comes into put over Orton. The only problem I have with Orton is the fact is that he isn't over at all. If the man can get over, then I'll have much less of a problem with him. I just don't think Orton should have the IC right now. Maybe Foley can do something to get him over. Plus, I love Foley. Kane/Taker feud: Yes, this match will sucks balls. However, I mark out for ol' school Taker. Plus, this might be the final run for Taker because he might want to go out as his old gimmick. RVD/Booker T/Jericho: Anything, other than shampoo, about these three I like. Benoit: He won the Rumble, something big has to happen from here. His road to WM should be interesting. Cena: Whatever Cena does, I love it. He is my favorite wrestler right now, so if he is on the screen I am game. I can smell Cena winning the US title from Show pretty soon. Eddie: I don't know what direction they are going with Eddie, but I can smell Eddie getting a big push. If the rumors are true, then he'll win at NWO, which will mean we might get a good feud between the two. Angle: Even though Angle didn't win the RR, he still was made to look strong. Whatever it is, there has to be something good for Angle to do. Care to say what Anglesault? Rey/Noble: This feud isn't over yet, and their 2 seconds in the ring were pretty good. Even if the feud is over, Rey will always put on a decent match. Brock/Berg: They were building this match for WM, and I hope Brock punks Berg out. Just to show Berg he isn't the shit like he thinks he is. Bah, maybe I am wrong about this, but I am looking forward to WWE shows. We'll see what happens from here. Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 If you're gonna hang around here, you'd better get over it...I sentence you to reading nothing but Anglesault posts until you come back down to earth. -Patrick
Guest Report post Posted January 26, 2004 Very true, as this is the 1st time since the night after WM X8 that I have truly wanted to watch RAW.
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2004 The last time I was truly excited about a Raw was the night after Vengeance 2001, when it was to be Jericho's first night as Undisputed Champ. Needless to say, I was devastated.

Guest JRE Report post Posted January 27, 2004 Angle: Even though Angle didn't win the RR, he still was made to look strong. Whatever it is, there has to be something good for Angle to do. Care to say what Anglesault? Indeed he does. "Retire."
Mole 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 Retire? Yeah that makes sense. I can't remember the last time Angle has had a match below ***. If he were to retire because of his neck, then he should, but not just because. He seems to love the business too much.
Guest JRE Report post Posted January 27, 2004 Now remember...that was Anglesault talking. I think the idea of Angle retiring right now just plain reeks. Reeks with suckitude.
BifEverchad 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 My interest and desire in the product was at an all-time low level this past year, but I have to agree with Moleslayer and say I too, am very excited in the upcoming storylines and match possibilities. There, I said it.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 River is just about to be captured by the Gentlemen lookalikes, but she over comes it and.... Dude, don't relate something this crappy with something so good. Not cool. Besides, River overcomes it just to get eaten by the Reavers, following that logic. Actually, even worse, she gets killed by Badger. You don't count Well gee, if you were planning on omitting people, why'd you ask?
Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Report post Posted January 27, 2004 You don't count Well gee, if you were planning on omitting people, why'd you ask? It was really more of an obviously sarcastic aside because I didn't really have anything to say to that, and yet I felt I should say something. Dude, you've really got to take some Prozac or something before you post. You're so...FEISTY.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 Wait until he actually gets buried. I actually expect to get banned after that happens - just for negativity and extreme "feisty-ness". Think this is bad? Oh shit, this is a firecracker compared to the Hiroshima that will be my rage once it's all said and done. "What are you rebittering against" "Whattaya gat?!" Were you asking a RHETORICAL QUESTION? *Big Laugh*
Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Report post Posted January 27, 2004 I usually know better than to engage you, Rudo, as it is usually akin to screaming at a brick wall, but I'm going to leave my sanity at the door one more time... Chris Benoit, one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time, and whom the (near) entirety of the IWC loves, just had what was arguably the greatest performance of his career and greatest moment of his career in the very same night. Due to this, he is guaranteed to be in the main event of the biggest wrestling show in all of motherfreakin' history. Regardless of what happens, this performance and moment were both totally incredible and completely electric. It seems sad to me that you cannot be happy for just this moment and bask in the greatness of last night. I really, truly see no reason why on earth you even watch wrestling at all, as nothing in the realm of possibility will ever, ever satisfy you. If Benoit wins at 'Mania, I just know you'd be one of those irritants that'd be posting the very same night about his reign being transitional, how he'll lose it in a month. Always something negative to say, even when something unbelievably positive happens.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 It seems sad to me that you cannot be happy for just this moment and bask in the greatness of last night. No, dude, it's sad to me too. I fucking hate it. I want to be happy for Benoit, but I can't. I was satisfied where they were going with Brock and Benoit - because that was the right track. Benoit on RAW? Benoit holding the "World Title"? That's just wrong. I guess Ignorance is bliss.
Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Report post Posted January 27, 2004 It isn't ignorance. I know full well that Benoit will most likely go to Raw and most likely lose at 'Mania. If he actually wins, I in no way expect to see his reign last any longer than a month. I'm not unhappy because of this, I'm happy IN SPITE of it. Because, regardless, Benoit is still main-eventing the biggest show ever. He's being rewarded, at long last. Not to mention that the way he got said reward was via a GIGANTIC one night push (which will undoubtedly continue, at least 'til 'Mania). Like I said, not ignorance. NYU 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 How could anyone NOT be excited after last night? I'm an RVD fan. I don't like Chris Benoit. Shockingly enough, I'm NOT too excited after last night.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 Yep, competing for a belt he never wanted. All that, based on a lie. You accept that lie. It's ignorance. You're settling for second-best. Benoit shouldn't get second-best. He deserves better.
Guest KidKrash Report post Posted January 27, 2004 Cena: Whatever Cena does, I love it. He is my favorite wrestler right now, so if he is on the screen I am game. I can smell Cena winning the US title from Show pretty soon. Oh goody goody gumdrops, the US Title. One of the hottest guys on Smackdown and he's getting a belt that hasn't been defended in nearly three months. Triple-H/HBK feud: I can't believe I am saying this, but I want to see what happens next. Why can't you believe it? Too obsessed with your love of HHHatorade? If the rumors are true, then he'll win at NWO, which will mean we might get a good feud between the two. Who's the two? Brock? Chavo? CLASSIC FEUDS right there. Brock/Berg: They were building this match for WM, and I hope Brock punks Berg out. Just to show Berg he isn't the shit like he thinks he is. I wouldn't like that very much. People in glass houses like Brock shouldn't throw stones at people like Goldberg. EDITED PORTION: Obviously this board has a quote button for cosmetics. Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Report post Posted January 27, 2004 I have an analogy. A stupid analogy, but an analogy nonetheless. Let's say we are starving, Rudo. We both haven't eaten anything in weeks, and are literally skin and bones. Someone walks up to me and offers me a fish sandwich. Now, I don't particularly love fish, but it's okay, so I take it and enjoy its savory goodness. Someone walks up to you and offers you the same, but because this fish sandwich isn't the perfect chef-style escargot with caviar on the side, you throw it back in their face and opt to continue starving. So which one of us is the ignorant one?

cbacon 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 The one of us who believes that fish is the best they can do. Relating that analogy back to wrestling, then yes, Benoit, a mid card wrestler his entire career , going to WrestleMania to wrestle in the main event for the title be the would be the best scenario. Guest Boomer Sprinklespax Report post Posted January 27, 2004 That's the thoughtless, typically-macho, smart-ass answer I expected. Unfortunately. YOU aren't capable of better, because YOU don't own the WWE. So you should settle for what they're giving us, because what they are giving us is something we've asked for since Benoit arrived, and it is good, regardless of how you want to spin it. But you won't, because you are, of course, you. A pessimistic, arrogant crybaby.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2004 I'm not happy. Benoit/Lesnar would supply us w/ great matches, and the payoff would be Benoit going over at WM. As it is, we'll miss out on the conclusion to the Benoit/Lesnar storyline, while simultaneously getting maybe a token title run on Raw before being used to put over Orton & Batista.
