Love how Lieberman treated like he just cleaned up in NH. And then he goes on CNN and says the America public wants to vote for a man who will go after Hollywood. Ummm sorry Joe, hate to tell you this but this is the reason I WON'T vote for you.

Sharpton won't drop out till he's done bitching about whitey. He never stood any kind of chance to begin with, and that's all he's sticking aroud for.

So the big question is whether or not Kerry will go the way of previous NH primary winners (Tsongas, Buchanan, and McCain among others). I'd say winning the NH is more of a curse than a blessing...

I can't picture Dean winning any Southern states, for much the same reasons Kerry would have a hard time with them.

If you can't get a first place victory in either of the opening states or Super Tuesday, you basically go home. I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that you need more than 20 year olds and 50-something former radicals in order to win!

 

However, he does have a big enough war chest to keep going and hang out in the debates if he likes. And that talk about small money contributors is utter bullshit.

Even though Kerry won NH, it doesn't mean too much.

 

About 200,000 voters participated in the New Hampshire primary, easily eclipsing the record 170,000 turnout in 1992 when Paul Tsongas defeated Bill Clinton.

The REAL ironic thing is that Kerry is doing almost as well as Dean amongst the youth. He only loses by less than 5 points in that demographic.

Clinton was from Arkansas. New Hampshire is in Dean's backyard, and he still performed terribly. New Hampshire was must win for Dean since he won't win in the South.

In a further sign of distress, the one-time front-runner implemented cost-cutting measures as he looked ahead to a series of costly primaries and caucuses, asking staff to defer their paychecks for two weeks.

 

"I think you are going to see a leaner, meaner organization," Dean told reporters Thursday night. "We had geared up for what we thought would be a front-runner's campaign. It's not going to be a front-runner's campaign. It's going to be a long, long war of attrition."

 

Dean said he wanted Roy Neel to take over office operations under the title of chief executive officer. He said he asked campaign manager Joe Trippi to stay on as a campaign strategist focused on media and Internet operations, but Trippi quit instead of accepting the demotion.
