Guest Choken One Posted February 7, 2004 Report Posted February 7, 2004 I know this will sound goofy but Here’s a question I’ve always pondered…How do wrestlers plan out what they will wear for certain shows…I mean, Do some wrestlers have a pattern or reason for wearing a certain color or design for a particular match or event, Case in point, people like Jericho whom have MULTIPLE colors and designs, will one week wear the Aqua outfit from WMXIX and then go to the purple the next week and then something new… Am I the only one that believes WHAT they are wearing has an effect on the match itself I’d like to imagine that at WMXX, all the wrestlers will put special thought into what they wear. I never could stand it when two wrestlers wore the same color in matches. I think all wrestlers should wear something new for Mania (kind of how you wear your best suits for the big deals), I just hope Benoit just doesn’t reach into his bag and pull out his Red Pants, I’d love if he rocked the Black and Red shredded pants he rocked when he debuted, HHH should wear the Black tights (not the ugly purple one) because that would signify his classic look along with his heeldom, Shawn really should do a homage to his wmxii outfit and go all white again. I’m praying Eddy doesn’t wear the El Matador pants or the gray pants, he should rock black and gold again and Angle, shouldn’t wear something outlandish like the Black Superman design. I’m sure RVD will bring something creative to table (if he even makes the show)…I hope Mysterio burned his WMXIX outfit. Only in the Case of Brock/Goldberg should they each wear similar tights (as that has been the push so far “Brock Lesnar Wannabe Vs Goldberg Wannabe”…It would be only fitting they each rock the black tights.

I agree with you though, it would be cool if everyone wore a new outfit (well not everyone, but everyone who actaully HAS mutiple attires). I'd like to see HBK wear his attire he wore at WM 14 (complete with gloves that he never wears anymore). RVD will probably bring out something new, like you said if he even makes the card. I guess we will just have to wait and see though.

caboose Posted February 7, 2004 Report Posted February 7, 2004 I remember for WrestleMania 2000, Rocky busted out Blcack pants with Gold Brahma Bull Design. I noticed on the night and thought it was pretty cool. Yeah the pants actually looked crap, but wearing gold specifically for WrestleMania was a nice touch.

I never could stand it when two wrestlers wore the same color in matches. That kinda sounds like the Randy Savage-WrestleMania theory. During his last few WM appearances, Savage's ring attire served as an indication of what would happen. WM VII- Savage wears a white hat to the ring and walks out as a face. Typically, the color white is a symbol for good (face) while black is a symbol for evil (heel). WM VIII- Savage wears gold ring attire and walks out as the WWF champion. WM X- Savage wears black and white ring attire. Savage uses a heelish tactic (black) to win the match, even though he's a face (white). The ring attire thing could be applied to the Bret-HBK match at WM XII. Bret wore all black, indicating that he would play the heel. HBK wore white and gold, indicating that he would (1) play the face, and (2) walk out as the champion.

I also have this theory that the color of Flair's tights will indicate if he blades or not I have a similar theory about his hair. When it's short, he's face. When it out of control, he's a heel. Basically, the better groomed Flair is, the nicer he will be.
