razazteca Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Um, not anymore and when did I say his name? Well you mentioned someone young and the Widow Peak is a similiar finisher to what Hurricane used. I am just saying that if a move of such awesomeness was given to any wrestler not named HHH they would disappear from tv.
Guest Ghettoman Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I was unger, then I got bumped to admin. And the Widows Peak isn't as dangerous as the vertebreaker so I don't think the comparison fits in that way.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 The first time I saw the move was from Ace Steel, well before Vicky started using it. Who cares who does it? It's not like more than a handful of people on the WWE roster could take it anyway.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 And the Widows Peak isn't as dangerous as the vertebreaker In the hands of Batista it would be. Batista is like Bullsye from DareDevil. Bullsye can make even a paper clip lethal. Batista could find a way to break your neck on a backrake.
The Kid Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Rumour has it that Batista broke someone's leg with an eye gouge.
Lil' Bitch Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Speaking of Victoria, is this her? In the Armageddon 2000 Intro, where they first debuted the song "The End", with the war-like stuff also being shown, the planes, bombs, the explosions. Well, also in this intro is a woman being shown. Her face is blurred out but is also shown very quickly during the random clips and I managed to cap them. All she does is move around, its not even related to what's happening along in the same video. I'm not sure myself if its her or not.
Insane Bump Machine Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 According to this report, Frankie Kazarian uses the Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex. Not WWE, but still... I once saw a Konnan/Rey Mysterio match where Rey took an insane JOCS.
Nighthawk Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Hey, I just saw a Japanese guy do a widow's peak on some tape today. I couldn't tell any of the four guys in the match apart, so I couldn't tell you who.
Guest edge007 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Has somebody got a video clip of Victoria doing the Widow's peak? I would like one, it would be very greatly appreciated. I was over at my friends house playing WM19 on the Gamecube, and I saw it...and wow. Such a dangerous move...geez, I wouldn't want to see it botched.
Guest Ray Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Instead of "giving" it to another wrestler, why don't we get rid of this lame idea that certain moves "belong" to certain wrestlers and no other wrestlers are allowed to use those moves? Thinking matches would be a hell of a lot less boring and predictable if any wrestler could use any move, not just "their" moves...
Guest hunger4unger Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 There is a reason why workers have signature moves...:sigh:
Guest Ray Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 There is a reason why workers have signature moves...:sigh: Would you care to share it with the rest of us?
deancoles Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 hell half the reason I thought Triple H ruled in 99-00 was the pedigree which just looked so much better than some other finishers. Where did the Pedigree come from? Did Triple H "invent" it? Was it an old move that was forgotten about or did he lift it from Japan or Mexico? He stole it from Outlaw Ron Bass who did a version of the pedigree but didn't grab the arms.
Guest Ghettoman Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Ray you'd have inconsistency through out the show, if Booker T ends his match with an Axe kick and the next match thats mid level offense, Booker T looks like shit, and his opponent looks like more shit.

Guest Ray Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Ray you'd have inconsistency through out the show, if Booker T ends his match with an Axe kick and the next match thats mid level offense, Booker T looks like shit, and his opponent looks like more shit. Booker shouldn't be ending his match with an axe kick in the first place...
Guest Ghettoman Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Very true, but you know my point.
Guest Banders Kennany Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Ray you'd have inconsistency through out the show, if Booker T ends his match with an Axe kick and the next match thats mid level offense, Booker T looks like shit, and his opponent looks like more shit. Booker T is always made to look like shit though. The tag title win is just a little break. He stole it from Outlaw Ron Bass who did a version of the pedigree but didn't grab the arms. I'm assuming he had his arms at his sides just hanging, which would make that the most homoerotic move I've ever heard of.
Nighthawk Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 That is the most homoerotic move ever, but you know, if he didn't hook the arms, and HHH does, then wouldn't that make it not the same move, hence, HHH not stealing it from him?
OldSchoolWrestling Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Doesn't Abyss use the Widow's Peak sometimes in TNA? Its quite an awesome move and Victoria does it quite well.
Guest hunger4unger Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 I don't get this thread at all. It's Victoria's finisher and she's got it over. Good luck to her. Ther's a zillion more finishers available for anyone else.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 I don't get this thread at all. It's Victoria's finisher and she's got it over. I don't get that someone seriously suggested giving it to Batista.
AnonymousBroccoli Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 According to this report, Frankie Kazarian uses the Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex. Not WWE, but still... I once saw a Konnan/Rey Mysterio match where Rey took an insane JOCS. I think I remember a Downward Spiral with a bit of a twist being called Back to the Future. Chris Sabin took it a few times. Is that the move?
Nighthawk Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 That wouldn't be the same Back to the Future. The Ocean Cyclone Suplex is where somebody's sitting on your shoulders, you cross their arms and fall back into a bridging pin. If you play the Smackdown games it's called the Queen Suplex Pin in them.
