Their success was in cutting costs, not gains in revenue. It's good in a way, but bad in another. They are making money, but they are not getting more - it just costs less to get it.

Ad. Revenue Down. (Revenues in general down)

Live Events Down.

PPV down.

Buys down.

Avg. Attendance down.

Ratings up :)

Merch up

Interesting notes:

Surv. Series did better than last year (0.4 vs. 0.3), but Armageddon did not (0.2 vs 0.3). RR is suspected to have been higher than last year (0.5 vs. 0.4).

RAW Ratings are up (3.6 vs. 3.5) from the previous year), while Smackdowns remain constant (3.4)

Publishing Revenues down (which may be concerning due to the change in publications) (4.3 vs. 5.0 mill)

Home Videos up but thats mainly due to an 29% increase in videos sold (which is like 3 or 4 more videos) (3.7 mil vs. 2.7)

Oh don't worry. Once WWF Films get going they'll be losing money at a WCWesque pace. This is the trap they fall into every time. They make a little money and immediately piss it away on something that everyone but them knows will fail.

They need to do a better job of advertising the product. I'm sure the Super Bowl ad helped a few people tune in.

The only time I see ads for RAW/SD are on Spike/UPN and occasionally Adult Swim. Not counting cable company inserts for some PPVs.

Sponsor some event or something.

"Get it"?

I have only seen a WWE ad off of WWE television ONCE, and I can't remember where so it couldn't have been that effective. They are stupid, stupid, commercials and don't really have a point to them other than trying to get over a stupid, stupid, catchphrase. Quite frankly, I think it's just to satisfy shareholders and say "we're reaching out!".

Agreed. Why put a commercial for Raw during Raw? It makes NO SENSE.
