JoeDirt Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 FALLOUT FROM NO WAY OUT; EDDIE'S FIRST NIGHT AS WWE CHAMP Feb. 19, 2004 When he is in his usual mood, Brock Lesnar is one of the most fearsome and formidable Superstars to ever enter the ring. On SmackDown!, expect to see a side of Lesnar never seen before as he has not one, but two targets for his anger. At No Way Out, not only did Lesnar lose the WWE Championship to Eddie Guerrero, but he did so in part because RAW Superstar Goldberg lived up to his promise to make Lesnar “next” and interfered in the match between Lesnar and Guerrero last Sunday. Who will the now ex WWE Champion target first for revenge? Find out on SmackDown! Speaking of the WWE Championship, SmackDown! will be the first for Eddie Guerrero as WWE Champion. After an emotional night at No Way Out, Guerrero will have a moment that only a select few ever get to experience – the opportunity to enter the ring as the reigning WWE Champion. After all of the adversity Guerrero has faced throughout his life, don’t miss what should be a very special night for him on SmackDown! However, expect Guerrero’s celebration to be short-lived as his first challenger is already in place. Thanks to his victory in the Triple Threat Match at No Way Out, Kurt Angle – the man Guerrero last eliminated from the from the SmackDown! Royal Rumble Match to gain the opportunity at No Way Out – is the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XX. With some tension already existing between the two during from the days leading to No Way Out, an Angle-Guerrero rivalry should bring nothing but the best from these two competitors. The rivalry could begin to take shape this week on SmackDown! See all of this and the rest of the fallout from No Way Out on SmackDown! at 8/7 CT on UPN. The Road to WrestleMania XX is in its final stretch … don’t miss it!
Guest wildpegasus Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 From Gamefaqs.com Smackdown (1) Angle/Cena vs the Bashams (2)Tajiri vs Billy Gunn (3)Big Show vs Hardcore Holly US title match Eddie celebration (4)Eddie vs Chavo with a special guest reff for the title
Guest wildpegasus Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Three matches? I just read the report from the other thread here. I don't think I missed one. There was some backstage stuff that I didn't mention. The guy reporting might've missed a match or two. Oh wait, I did miss one. Angle/Cena vs the Bashams. I better go back and edit my initial post.
Youth N Asia Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 (1) Angle/Cena vs the Bashams...ehh...Bashams still aren't very impressive (2)Tajiri vs Billy Gunn...get Billy Gunn off my tv! (3)Big Show vs Hardcore Holly US title match...Wow...he's defending the belt? Yuck...it's against Holly. Eddie celebration...if anyone deserves it it's Eddie (4)Eddie vs Chavo with a special guest reff for the title...gee, can't imagine who the ref is going to be. But I'm all for this. I wish the two would have a mini feud leading to Mania, like Bret and Owen had going into X. Where they were at each other, but the title wasn't really an issue.
Spaceman Spiff Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Velocity: A-Train vs. Orlando Jordan (might be a dark match) Paul London vs. Sakoda Rey/Kidman vs. Knoble/Nunzio Rikishi/S2H vs. FBI (Palumbo/Stamboli) Shannon Moore vs. Rhyno
JoeDirt Posted February 18, 2004 Author Report Posted February 18, 2004 Velocity: A-Train vs. Orlando Jordan (might be a dark match) Paul London vs. Sakoda Rey/Kidman vs. Knoble/Nunzio Rikishi/S2H vs. FBI (Palumbo/Stamboli) Shannon Moore vs. Rhyno 5 matches on Velocity? Maybe one of them is on SD!
JHawk Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 All I have to say is that I hope Eddie vs. Chavo is getting the HBK-Benoit treatment or this is going to be a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng show.
Spaceman Spiff Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Velocity: A-Train vs. Orlando Jordan (might be a dark match) Paul London vs. Sakoda Rey/Kidman vs. Knoble/Nunzio Rikishi/S2H vs. FBI (Palumbo/Stamboli) Shannon Moore vs. Rhyno 5 matches on Velocity? Maybe one of them is on SD! Looks like A-Train/Jordan is a dark match, making it 4 matches on Velocity.
Matt Young Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Jesus... It's like they heard us bitching aboutthe US Title not being defended and finally gave in to shut us up. However, they decided to punish us by having those matches feature the worst wrestlers on the roster. Next up: Orlando Jordan.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I'll be taping Eddy/Chavo, although something tells me I'll probably be recording over it just as fast.
Guest Goodear Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 They won't job anyone worth anything to The Big Show. Its been pretty clear thats been the case since he won the US Strap from Eddie.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 I wonder if the high profile feud of Big Show and Eddy will come after WM since Show can say "I beat Eddy for the US title, I deserve a World Title shot" Then the only singles title to be defended on Smackdown will be the CW!
Guest Loss Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Eddy/Show should headline Judgment Day, but I have a feeling they'll use it as a time-killer feud between 'Mania and then, or even between now and 'Mania.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 There is only 3 matches. Billy Gunn/Tajiri isn't shown.
