Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Here we go, tonight is the first SmackDown after No Way Out, and Eddie Guerrero is the brand new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. I downloded Eddie's entrance for tonight a few hours ago, and let me just tell you this. It's, well, it's just unbelieveable, and that is putting it very lightly. I wont spoil it for you if you want to be surprised at what all goes on, but it will put a huge smile on your face as you watch it. If it doesn't, then you have no soul and can NEVER be pleased, period, end of story. Just from his entrance, I don't even know what happened after he got in the ring, but the entrance alone on tonight's SmackDown is one of my favorite moments in the history of professional wrestling. I never in a million years actually thought we'd see Eddie as the champ. You could say that I'm still in shock. So if you never watch because of spoilers, or if you just don't watch SD period, then make tonight the night that you watch, if only to see Eddie with the freaking WWE World Heavyweight Championship. So set your VCRs, it'll be a sight that you do not want to miss. U.S. CHAMPIONSHIP UP FOR GRABS!! Feb. 19, 2004 WWE.com has learned that tonight on SmackDown!, the U.S. Championship will be on the line when the Big Show defends the Championship against Hardcore Holly. Just days after his disappointing defeat at No Way Out in the Triple Threat Match to be No. 1 Contender at WrestleMania, Big Show should be in a bad mood. Does this mean bad news for Hardcore Holly or can Holly pull off the upset? Find out tonight on SmackDown! Also, when he is in his usual mood, Brock Lesnar is one of the most fearsome and formidable Superstars to ever enter the ring. On SmackDown!, expect to see a side of Lesnar never seen before as he has not one, but two targets for his anger. At No Way Out, not only did Lesnar lose the WWE Championship to Eddie Guerrero, but he did so in part because RAW Superstar Goldberg lived up to his promise to make Lesnar ?next? and interfered in the match between Lesnar and Guerrero last Sunday. Who will the now ex WWE Champion target first for revenge? Find out on SmackDown! Speaking of the WWE Championship, SmackDown! will be the first for Eddie Guerrero as WWE Champion. After an emotional night at No Way Out, Guerrero will have a moment that only a select few ever get to experience ? the opportunity to enter the ring as the reigning WWE Champion. After all of the adversity Guerrero has faced throughout his life, don?t miss what should be a very special night for him on SmackDown! However, expect Guerrero?s celebration to be short-lived as his first challenger is already in place. Thanks to his victory in the Triple Threat Match at No Way Out, Kurt Angle ? the man Guerrero last eliminated from the from the SmackDown! Royal Rumble Match to gain the opportunity at No Way Out ? is the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XX. With some tension already existing between the two during from the days leading to No Way Out, an Angle-Guerrero rivalry should bring nothing but the best from these two competitors. The rivalry could begin to take shape this week on SmackDown! See all of this and the rest of the fallout from No Way Out on SmackDown! at 8/7 CT on UPN. The Road to WrestleMania XX is in its final stretch ? don?t miss it! Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest W_Hillard Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Lacking cable, I don't always get to watch either of the WWE shows. So I come here to find out what's going on. Sometimes, I'm really surprised. Like now. I never would have pegged Eddie to be pushed for a World Title belt. I'm glad for him though. He has a lot of talent and honestly deserves it. Thanks. Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 It's Thursday, isn't it. Guess I'll have to tape it and forget to watch it later, like I do every week.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Having seen the show, I would watch it again (well, I can since I taped it) just for the Eddy stuff, even though I think Downhome might have been exagerating a bit on the entrance.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 ...even though I think Downhome might have been exagerating a bit on the entrance. Perhaps to you, but not to me. While watching it, it's like a dream or something f'd up like that. For starters, just seeing him with the title is just unreal, then add to that how he comes to the ring and everything that they did for just his entrance, to make it look like an actual HUGE deal, it's just classic. This is the guy that I watched years ago, and have been a fan of for so long. A guy that I never saw getting a shot like this, and never having such a big deal made of him.
