Guest Corino 1000 Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 You can't turn The Rock or RVD heel. The Rock as heel didn't work. RVD as in 2001 was horrible also along with Stone Cold. My point, someone can play a great heel but some people were just meant to be face. Sorry I didn'y mean the Rocks heel run failed. What I meant to say was that during the end of his heel run the crowd was applauding him no matter wat he did. He was a good heel in 99,00 watever but now he is too over with the fans to tearn heel right now.
Guest Anglesault Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 You gotta figure Molly vs. Lita vs. Jazz vs. Victoria will be on the show, along with 2 Cool vs. WGTT vs. The Bashams vs. APA will be on there.
Guest Redhawk Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 1. Someone explain to me why the RAW title match has to be a 3-way? I think we've seen HBK-HHH enough, Benoit deserves a huge 1-on-1 'Mania match, and what happened to that whole "using HBK to put over young stars" thing? Couldn't HBK be better used wrestling someone like Christian or Jericho? 2. I feel sorry for Cena, or anyone who's first WM match has to be against Big Show. 3. Cruiserweight Battle Royal. Participants: Rey Mysterio, Chavo Guerrero, Shannon Moore, Paul London, Ultimo Dragon, Tajiri, Akio, Sakoda, Jamie Noble, Nunzio, Kidman Also known as the "We Have No Idea How To Use Any Of These People But Some Of Y'all Apparently Like Watching Them Hop All Over The Place" Match. 4. I haven't been up on my internet wrestling rumors, so tell me why everyone says Goldberg is going to leave after WM? 5. What happened to that Stone Cold retirement match? 6. Sable & Torrie Wilson vs. Stacy Keibler & Jackie Gayda Why? 7. Despite hints on RAW, the plan right now is not to add a Vince McMahon vs. Eric Bischoff match to the card. Shane & Stephanie McMahon also are not expected to wrestle or have any other on TV role. I'll believe that when I see it.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted February 22, 2004 Author Report Posted February 22, 2004 "4. I haven't been up on my internet wrestling rumors, so tell me why everyone says Goldberg is going to leave after WM?" Because he doesn't have a contract.
Vern Gagne Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 It really seems the way Foley is getting beat down every week. The WWE is setting up someone(The Rock) to make the save. Setting up a tag match. Of course that would likely mean Foley stays around, and from what I've read that isn't that plan.
cbacon Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 A Rock/Foley vs. Orton/Batista/Flair match would have more heat behind it
Austin3164life Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 5. What happened to that Stone Cold retirement match? It happened to be last year vs. The Rock.
muzz Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 2. I feel sorry for Cena, or anyone who's first WM match has to be against Big Show. I don't. Big Show has been fine in his role on Smackdown, and I think gets a lot of unfair criticism.
Austin3164life Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 2. I feel sorry for Cena, or anyone who's first WM match has to be against Big Show. I don't. Big Show has been fine in his role on Smackdown, and I think gets a lot of unfair criticism. Big Show has been one of the fresher aspects of Smackdown, and I don't mind Cena going at it with the Big Show one bit. They seem to have developed a chemistry between each other.
Guest Choken One Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 The Big Show is one of the WWE's Biggest (pardon the pun) stars and actually is someone with cross-over appeal, which adds to Cena's chances of breaking out even more in the mainstream. The Big Show is VERY talented at making someone look GREAT in the ring. TBS is the #5 guy in the Brand behind Eddy, Brock, Kurt and Cena... They could have just wedged in Billy Gunn for Cena Ya know... TBS is a Former 3 time world champion...He certaintly has credibility... Steve Austin's first Mania was against Savio Vega... The Rock's First Mania was against Sultan Undertaker's first Mania was against Santana Not Like Cena got a raw deal here...he gets to go over one of the biggest names in wrestling for past 10 years...
Guest Suicide King Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 I absolutely agree. When Big Show is playing the monster, no one does it better. Big Show is one of the best parts of Smackdown right now, but a lot of the internet community will never be able to reconcile that with the fact that he will never have the repertoire of a Malenko. But then again, I enjoyed his humorous face run, so the internet community tends to regard me as brain-damaged anyway.
muzz Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 You gotta figure Molly vs. Lita vs. Jazz vs. Victoria will be on the show, along with 2 Cool vs. WGTT vs. The Bashams vs. APA will be on there. Both are potentially 'watchable' but if they get more than 10 - 12 minutes, then it's just overkill. Preferably, the faces should go over to keep the crowd happy for the time being.
Tawren Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 A Rock/Foley vs. Orton/Batista/Flair match would have more heat behind it Hell no. We get enough handicap matches as is.
Lil' Bitch Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Undertaker's first Mania was against Santana Snuka you mean
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 TBS is a Former 3 time world champion...He certaintly has credibility... I'm pretty sure only 2x in WWE, but you probably counted WCW too.
Guest JMA Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 I was actually looking forward to the McMahon/Bischoff match. Oh well. At least the crowd will be able to take a piss during the APA match.
Guest Deviant Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Once again, how in the fuck is that original post considered insider news when 7/10 matches have been officially announced, 2 are obvious and the other has Tag Champs vs Challengers TBA?!? Thank g-d for those sources inside WWE, otherwise we wouldn't have known that Undertaker was going to face Kane at Mania...
Guest Banders Kennany Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Cena (other than the battle rap/humiliation) can't really get the best of TBS (got eliminated by Show at RR, at the Smackdown battle royal). Except for when Cena beat Show cleanly with an FU at both Survivor Series (chain shot ahead of time though) and at the Smackdown from Baghdad on Christmas. He also got beat in that street fight they had. Cena owns Show = this is a placeholder feud because they're running out of possibilities. Well IMO Jericho deserves better than feuding with Xtian, i think of that match as a RAW opening match and not a Mania match. What a dumb thing to say. They've been teaming for over a year and have had their friendship played up so many times. This is at the very least a RAW main event and the history between the two superstars makes this a very valid contender for being a WM match. Opening match my ass.
bradolson Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Personally, I think that it would be terrible for guys like Venis who've been with the company for so long to be left off the card. With this long of a show, they should be able to find a way to get them on there somehow, even if it's an 8-man tag that lasts 7-10 minutes total. Reward the guys who have stuck with you so long and have helped you make it to WMXX by getting them on one of the biggest shows in the company's history. Just my opinion. Brad
Lil' Bitch Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 and of course Rock / Foley Vs. Batista / Orton / Flair, Sable / Torrie Vs. Jackie / Stacy, and the Heat match of Venis / Storm Vs. Dudleyz (winner moves on into the Fatal 4 way match) *would also like to see WTGTT Vs. Fatman and Robin for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
ChrisMWaters Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 and the Heat match of Venis / Storm Vs. Dudleyz (winner moves on into the Fatal 4 way match) Um, I thought the Heat match was THIS Sunday... And they better add one or two more Smackdown matches...WWE Tag Titles I'd like...and hell, SOMETHING else.
SamoaRowe Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 There is a storyline with the WWE tag titles, but now that there is a fatal four way for Raw, it's unlikely we'll get that WGTT/Bashams/APA/2 Cool clusterfuck we were worrying about.
CanadianChick Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Damn, the Rock/Foley vs. Evolution match *is* happening. What a waste of the Rock.
ChrisMWaters Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Damn, the Rock/Foley vs. Evolution match *is* happening. What a waste of the Rock. Not the first time. *Remembers the WrestleMania 6 Mixed Tag Match that Randy Savage was a part of.*
Kurt Angle Mark Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 No surprise Dudley Boyz won so they are in the tag title match
2GOLD Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Am I the only one expecting kick-wham-stunner on Goldberg allowing Brock to get the 1-2-3? Come on, you know Vince is DYING to allow Austin take out Goldberg. Remember the whole "Goldberg is WCW's Austin" stuff? Now Vince has him at Wrestlemania in a match with Austin. Plus you know Vince needs his "stunner! stunner! stunner!" moment at Wrestlemania followed by yelling Stone Cold 20 times till he is spent. The card looks alright but still not worth the sum they want.
