I saw it Friday. I really enjoyed it. Some parts were bizarre, but in a good way. Fred Armisen definitely stole the show as "Creepy Italian Guy."

Did anyone else check it out? If so, what did you think of it?

I just got back from seeing it, 50 times better then I expected. One of the the funniest movies i've ever seen.

I was actually a little disappointed in this.

The problem for me was the main character and his best friend. I didn't feel the main character's pursuit enough. His best friend needed to be Stifler-like in his approach and instead was subtle and laid back. While I can see how that can work for some people, it just didn't work for me.

Although, here's what bothered me...if she blocked his e-mail address, why didn't he just make another one?

Maybe she blocked his ISP?

I saw it last night ... thought it was as funny as Road Trip but not as funny as Old School. But I definitely thought it was funny. Some observations, & my apologies for not remembering most of the characters names:

- the "best friend" character was doing the worst David Spade impersonation that I've ever seen. It's comparable with Christian Slater aping Jack Nicholson in Heathers, but not as well done.

- Michelle Trachtenberg (sp?) became amazingly hot, and was worth the price of admission alone.

- the soccer hooligans = hilarity. Vinnie Jones stole the movie during his scenes.

- the movie was smart to show tons of boobies & 'sick moments' ... too many movies have the R rating but still hold back from showing a lot. Not here, with plenty of chest to look at and the twins making out ... if you're going to get stuck with an R rating, might as well push the envelope a bit.

- Matt Damon cameo appearance = hilarity.

- some scenes went on too long (the creepy Italian guy on the train, the robot fight in front of the Louvre) but the good outweighed the bad.

Definitely worth seeing

I can't believe no one has brought up the Baby Hitler scene (partially stolen from Seinfeld but taken to the next level) That has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen and the movie as a whole rocks.

I especially liked how he hated all other Europeans (especially "Eye-Tacks"). I shudder to think what would've happened if the lead hooligan bumped into Creep Italian Guy.

Hooligan: "DID YOU JUST TOUCH ME YOU DIRTY EYE-TACK!?"

CIG: "Mi Scuzi..."

Hooligan: "DIE~!"

CIG: (while running) "MI SCUZI! MI SCUZI!"

I haven't seen it, but I go to class with a chick that works at the theater, and she and her sister gave me their phone # today and said they will get me and my buddy into the movies for free. I just have to wait about a week until the movies have been out.......WHOO. I may just see this one.
