Youth N Asia Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Land of the Dead 7 out of 10...I liked the story for the most part, but I was expecting so much more.
SinToxic Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Batman Begins - 7/10. a flawless masterpiece compared to the last two films, but on it's own just a fine effort, with rather harmless villains, but it had a lot of ground to cover, so yeah. The Terminal - 4/10. Just a tad better than Soul Plane. Hanks just mumbles through the entire film.
Gary Floyd Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 Ichi the Killer-9/10 A real masterpiece of sadism and black comedy. Yesterday Cabin Fever-8.5/10 A great mix of horror, comedy, gore, and potent dread. I still can't watch the fingerbang scene or the leg shaving scene without cringing. The only flaws I can think of is that it overdoes it with the homages, and a few jokes fall flat. Other than that, it's great.
Gary Floyd Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III-5/10 To David J. Schow: You're a great author, but stick to the prose. See it if you want to see Ken Foree and Viggo Mortensen in the same movie. Plus, it's better than "TCM: The Next Generation".
Gary Floyd Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 Dark Water-7/10. A lot better than I expected, and the best PG-13 Horror film since "The Ring" (Yes, I know both are remakes). However, its not perfect (It's really creepy, and slowly builds atmospheric dread, but isn't really scary, and half of the characters are pretty disposable). Still it's still better than most PG-13 Horror films (I'm looking at you, Ghost House), so it gets a thumbs up from me.
DCMaximo Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 Steal This Movie-8/10 In spite of the knowledge that this comment will make me sound like a really sad Janeane fanboy, she totally owns this film with a rare straight performance. Well worth the £1 I paid for it Man Dancin'-7/10 Hey, a British film that doesn't portray us as football hooligans or bumbling toffs, kudos. Plus it features Trevor from EastEnders and is thus brilliant
BlackFlagg Posted July 11, 2005 Report Posted July 11, 2005 Blue Velvet - 8/10 Hellraiser: Deader - 7/10
