Guest OctoberBlood Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2004) - [8.6/10] 3rd viewing.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 - 10/10 I've nixed the snowflakes for all but special occasions. On the film, I've only been watching ones lately that are worth that rating.
Guest thebigjig Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 The Godfather Part II for like the 20th time... 10/10 obviously
Guest Askewniverse Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Pulp Fiction - 9/10 The Godfather Part II - 10/10
Guest thebigjig Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Pulp Fiction - 9/10 The Godfather Part II - 10/10 lol small world
Guest Choken One Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Elephant 7.9/10. Way too short and needed more character development. They should have just gone straight up and said "yeah its about columbine" but they didn't.
Guest Choken One Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 The Cooler 8.6/10. Very good acting from Macy and Baldwin and the hotness of Bello was very nice. Not much in the plot but three good actors doing their thing is always fun.
Guest The Notorious CRD Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Big Fish - ***1/2 Caddyshack II - ** Police Academy 3 - *1/2
Der Kommissar Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 Hercules, Samson, and Ulysses(1963) - Hercules meets up with Samson to take down a Philistine tyrant. It was not as bad as I expected, and turned to be fairly inoffensive. 5.5/10
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted May 15, 2004 Report Posted May 15, 2004 CRD, how the hell did you manage to watch two of those? As for The Godfather Part II - it's extremely fucking hard to pick the better out of it and it's predecessor.
El Psycho Diablo Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 Kill Bill, vol 1. Really fun movie, but not the greatest thing since sliced bread, like some people seem to think. *cough*
Guest thebigjig Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 Ghostbusters - 9/10 Stand by me - 10/10
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted May 16, 2004 Report Posted May 16, 2004 On cable, until WWE Judgment Day rolls around, which is in about 15 minutes... - 6/10 Ten years ago, it would've been 10/10.
godthedog Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 currently, on tcm: 'steamboat bill, jr'. damn good stuff. Pulp Fiction - 9/10 The Godfather Part II - 10/10 that's insane, that's like six hours of film. i can only imagine the internal monologue that inspired this: "wow, what a great, long movie 'pulp fiction' is. i'm exhausted. what should i do now?...oh, i know! i'll watch 'the godfather part II'! THAT'LL get me energized!"
ArkhamGlobe Posted May 17, 2004 Report Posted May 17, 2004 that's insane, that's like six hours of film. i can only imagine the internal monologue that inspired this: "wow, what a great, long movie 'pulp fiction' is. i'm exhausted. what should i do now?...oh, i know! i'll watch 'the godfather part II'! THAT'LL get me energized!" Bah, that's nothing. Try watching seven and a half straight hours of Ingmar Bergman-movies (as I did on friday) and imagine how that felt. Good thing I like Bergman. Good thing I like Bergman. Oh, the films were Wild Strawberries, Through a Glass Darkly, Winter Light, The Silence and Persona. And as for an explanation as to why I'd spend seven plus hours of a friday night watching Bergman movies, I'm writing a paper on the aesthetic developments during Bergman's career, coupled with the autobiographical phenomena of his work, as it interrelates with his autobiographies.
