I just came back from the Olive Garden, and I found out the coolest thing in the world. On Fridays and Saturdays, they have 25 cent glasses of wine. No catches, and there are about ten different wines to choose from. I spent $3, and I got pretty bombed. This is the greatest thing ever. I asked the server and she said that all Olive Gardens are supposed to have this deal. I am going back every weekend from now on.

Yeah, its a sampler bar, but the samples were normal glasses. I dont think people are supposed to keep coming back for more, but my friends and I didn't care. The bartender didn't mind either.

I've never gotten the appeal behind it. I envy people who drink wine because its a relatively cheap way to get smashed, but I just can't drink the stuff, it just tastes so bad.

Horrible pasta there. Then again, I come from an Italian family that has homemade spaghetti every Sunday, so my standards are probably higher than most.

Oh don't worry about having too high of standards. I come from an Irish family, we hardly ever have pasta, and I still don't like the Olive Garden. Meh I'm too young to even look 18, let alone 21, but I got two words for getting smashed easily: steal extract.

I like white wine the best because its served chilled. Red wines are served at room temperature and thats like drinking a room temperature soda to me.

 

Sauvignon Blanc or Gewürztraminer are two of my favorite white wines.

 

I had a class in college, well actually 2 classes on wine/beer/other beverages and we had wine tastings. The first one was from US growers and the 2nd one was from French/German growers. Both times I was under 21 but it was allowed.

If I had the slightest bit of class, I'd appreciate wine. Seeing as I don't, however, vino's just another easy way to get bombed, should one be so inclined. I've never tasted a truly good wine in my life, I don't think.
