Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 2, 2004 Vince McMahon and Bret Hart met on February 20th to discuss the possibility of Bret making an appearance at WrestleMania XX. The meeting was said to have went very well, but the two sides were unable to come to an agreement for Hart to appear at WrestleMania. Although anything is still possible, it seems unlikely that a deal will be reached in time for the PPV. However, the feeling coming out of the meeting was that Hart will be appearing at a WWE event in the future. (Thanks to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter) The plan for WrestleMania XX is for Molly Holly to regain her Women's Championship. As announced on last night's RAW, the stipulation is if Molly wins the match, she wins the title, but if she loses she'll be shaved bald. She isn't likely to lose the bout, as it was specified that she would be shaved 100% bald. WWE management has been telling Rosey for several months now that he needs to lose some weight. This is why there were several jokes directed at his weight by Jerry Lawler on RAW last night. Because he continues to ignore management's request, they decided to embarrass him on television. The latest on Scott Steiner is that he is suffering from some sort of leg injury, but should be ready to go after WrestleMania XX.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 2, 2004 Ah...They are giving Rosey the Vader treatment... Ah, Steiner's actually injured? Must have been the leg up orton's ass at the rumble.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 3, 2004 Please Bret, don't do it! Why?
cue_meanie 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 Why not? 1997 was a long time ago, and its not like he's coming back to wrestle and cash a check made out to him by Vince McMahon everyweek. If he came in at Mania, and just did an interview, there should be no reason to beg for him not to do it.

Michrome 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 I'd rather him not do it at a show being headlined by a 3-way thanks to political bullshit.

I'm not a Rosey fan, but that's just stupid. It must be shit to work for someone who would do that to you. Keeping him off tv till he lost the weight would be the better call. Guest JMA Report post Posted March 3, 2004 Vince McMahon: Peter, your son just had a Son Name Dwayne, what do you think will he be a wrestler? Peter Maivia is the father of The Rock's mother. He's not Rocky Johnson's father. Or did you mean "son" as in "son-in-law"?

Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 I don't know why it'd be a bad thing if he did come back as a regular. Um, because we have enough god damned 'non-wrestlers' on WWE TV as it is, and this would only worsen the problem. I'm all for Bret coming back for *one night* to give a speech and launch a DVD compilation of his favourite matches, but anything more would only breed resentment for Bret from the fans. See Austin, Steve. UYI

See Austin, Steve. UYI Austin is resented by the fans? Then those popcorn vendors must be getting HUGE support because, otherwise, it's Stone Cold getting those cheers. Steve Austin....Mick Foley....Vince McMahon(when he plays a face)......many non-wrestlers have been known to get large pops. Would Bret eventually be resented by the Internet community if he appeared on Raw every week? Probably. Would he be resented by the fan base? You can't say for sure. Foley and Austin are now getting some of the biggest pops on Raw, and they haven't wrestled in months (Foley finally doing it at Mania). I don't think it's a guarantee the fans would get tired of Bret after a few weeks.

Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 Im actually torn a bit about Bret Hart.. Short term yeah it would be great to see him again and maybe even regularly. But Longterm.... whats the point? The Great man can no longer wrestle. Semi retired wrestlers like Austin, Flair, Foley etc at least they throw a punch here and there. I would flinch just Watching Bret walking down the ramp. He's never gonna be at 100% again, and in reality would he even want to be on the WWE payrole after the hell that was put through by both parties?
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 Have Hart become a manager to Storm, Venis, and Christian as a heel group. He could do the majority of the speaking for the group. It'd be great!
cue_meanie 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 The only thing about that plan is that he can not take any bumps, and in wrestling that just doesn't happen, I can't think of anyone in wrestling that has been on screen for any extended period of time that doesn't take atleast a few bumps. Thats why Heenan got out of managing, so I don't think its a very good idea.
